Since Victoria had returned from her aunt's house, her friends had noticed how much more distant she was. As if she was in another world. And that worried them because she was not that type of person. She always liked to observe everything and think about everyone.

—Victoria— her maths teacher snapped her out of her trance. The teenager decided to have her teachers call her by her first name instead of her royal highness, as she thought it would attract less attention.

—How much does exercise three give you?— she asked, causing the princess to look down at her desk full of meaningless, painted sheets of paper, until she made eye contact with the answer hidden in one of her drawings.

—31— she replied causing Mr. Green to nod and continue with the lesson, making the teenager very relieved to have it right as she didn't pay much attention to the exercise.

—Vic— Andrew called after the class as they made their way to the gym where they had the last lesson of Wednesday. The princess sighed before turning around as she didn't want to talk to anyone, least of all him.

—Are you alright?— she asked worriedly, which caused the chestnut to nod.

—Perfectly— she replied before continuing on her way, leaving the blonde behind. The princess made her way to the pavilion alone without thinking about anything. Which she did a lot back then, the problems didn't hurt her anymore. She no longer felt anything about anything.

—Why did you go alone?— asked Maya, arriving at the gymnasium a little agitated as she had run to catch up with the princess. She hadn't even noticed that the Australian wasn't beside her.

—I'm sorry. I thought you were here— she said sincerely, giving her a half smile. Maya knew she had to do something since the Victoria of the last three days was not the Victoria she knew.

—Do you know what's going on with Vic?— asked Andrew, approaching Maya as they played a game of rugby.

—She's been arguing with her mother again. But I don't think that's the problem— replied the girl with concern. The princess had argued with Kate more than once before and she had never been so distant. The teacher scolded them after that, so they couldn't talk any more.

—Do you want to watch Euphoria?— asked Maya, lying on her bed with the laptop in her lap.

—We have to study for the exam tomorrow— she replied amused rolling her eyes as she went back to reading the physics book trying to understand the subject matter.

—You don't need to study, you always get good grades— said Maya making the chestnut shake her head and sigh heavily. —You need to relax a bit— said the Australian, pulling Victoria's arm slightly to lift her from her desk and lay her down on the bed to watch the series until the princess had to go to athletics.

Andrew was also a track and field athlete so he would meet Victoria and be able to talk to her. He saw her appear on the track wearing a large Nike sweatshirt and black leggings while her hair was in a high ponytail and on her left shoulder was her gym bag with her initials "V.W." embroidered on it. The boy stared at her until she was out of his sight as she entered the women's locker room.

—Hi— the blond greeted her, approaching her as they warmed up.

—Hi— she replied quizzically as they hadn't spoken in almost a week.

—Are you alright? You've been acting weird in class for a few days. If it's my fault...— Andrew spoke worriedly, but the chestnut interrupted him.

—It's not your fault— she said coldly before starting to run. The boy sighed in defeat and thought he would talk to her when she was ready.

As she went around the track to warm up she felt very bad about treating the boy like that. So when it was time to pair up for the relay practice she wanted to join Andrew.

—Shall we pair up?— she asked as she approached him, causing his eyes to light up and a big smile to appear on his face.

—Of course— he answered. The blond's smile made millions of butterflies flutter in the princess's stomach. She tried to breathe to make the feeling stop, but it was impossible.

—Are you going first?— asked Andrew, offering her the green stick, which she took with a smile. The two teenagers won the race making it feel great to be in each other's company.

—I'm sorry I treated you so badly— apologised Victoria as they finished their training.

—Don't worry, I know you've had a tough few weeks— replied the boy with a smile. The girl shook her head, knowing that that was no excuse for having treated him so badly.

—Will you wait for me and we'll talk? I need a shower urgently— said Victoria pointing to the changing room which caused the boy to nod and do the same. The princess needed to take a shower but she also needed to think about what she was going to say to the boy.

Andrew left earlier, so he sat on a bench near the door while he waited and scrolled through his Instagram page aimlessly until he came across a picture of the new Family of Wales on the famous balcony —They look so happy, what could have happened?— thought the blond until he saw the door open revealing the chestnut who was wearing her hair loose and wet while wearing another outfit causing him to stare at her without saying anything.

—Now you're a stalker— laughed the princess as she saw the picture of her family on the boy's screen.

—Oh no no— he replied nervously as he turned red, which caused a laugh to erupt from the girl's mouth.

—It's all right. Don't worry— explained the princess as she put her left hand on his shoulder to reassure him.

—I missed being with you like this— Victoria confessed as they made their way to the rooms —You didn't deserve to be treated like this— she regretted sincerely, ducking her head in shame.

—I know these last few weeks have been very bad for you. Don't worry— said the boy sympathetically, making Victoria feel worse and worse. They stood in silence trying to find the right words until the princess plucked up her courage.

—I don't want to ruin your life— she spoke looking at the blond who had a confused face —If the press finds out...— she tried to explain but Andrew interrupted her.

—Is it just that or is there something else?— he asked impatiently, since he didn't care about that.

The princess sighed —I'm not ready— she said defeated, making Andrew nod, "Right now —I have a million things on my mind and I can't — she continued, making her blue eyes identical to her father's fill with tears.

—Hey Vic— he lifted his chin slowly to look into his eyes —We don't have to be a couple. I just want us to be friends again— the blond said sincerely. The princess nodded.

—Just friends— she smiled, opening her arms to embrace him in a big hug. Andrew escorted her to her room and they said goodbye with a smile.

—Did you come with Andrew?— Maya asked mischievously with raised eyebrows.

—We're staying as friends. Don't worry— she replied with a small smile as she sat down on the Australian's bed, who was lying down watching a series.

—Why aren't you two boyfriend and girlfriend yet? You two like each other— Maya said a little indignantly. She was the couple's biggest fan.

—I need to sort other things out first— sighed the princess, lying down next to the blonde who nodded knowing what her situation was. Victoria sighed and felt the weight off her shoulders. She always had a good time with Andrew and she liked that they could remain friends.
