The next few years were fairly routine for Victoria and she was beginning to get used to living in Windsor. Most of her afternoons were spent reading and taking walks in the garden. They were still very dull, but she tried to distract herself and prayed that her punishment would be lifted soon.

Her days consisted of going to school and spending seven hours there and then going back to Windsor and trying to entertain herself. What she wanted most of all was to have her phone so she could talk to Andrew at all hours, as he was never awake late at night.

It was going to be an ordinary Thursday for Victoria, but when she arrived at the palace her Aunt Pippa was waiting for her with open arms.

—Pippa? What are you doing here?— she asked in surprise as she gave her a hug. At that moment she realised how stupid her question had been, of course her mother had called her to talk to her.

—To pay you a visit, we haven't seen each other for a long time— she pouted a little, at which the teenager laughed a little.

—I know mum sent you to talk to me. But I'm not going to change my mind, I don't want to talk to them— she said firmly, earning a sigh from the woman.

—Do you want to tell me why you don't want to talk to them?— she tried to make feeling confident talking to her, so that she could tell her how she felt and so she could help her.

Victoria was quiet for a few minutes trying to find the right words —They're very angry about something that doesn't make sense. Nothing happened between Andrew and I—she sighed.

—I know, darling, and your parents were wrong and they should have trusted you— she paused briefly before continuing -But your attitude these last few days hasn't been the best and your parents are very worried.

The teenager remembered the fight with her parents a few months ago and how she was in the same situation with her aunt. She hadn't forgiven her parents, just pretended that everything was fine again and everything had exploded again. Her old feelings resurfaced again which made her feel very bad.

—Vic, what's going on?— the woman moved closer to her and clasped his hands in hers.

—I hate everything they are doing to me— she answered with tears in her eyes,

—I know, sweetheart, that's why you have to talk to them and tell them what you're feeling, they love you and they'll do everything they can to make you well. That doesn't take away from the fact that what you did was right and you deserve a reprimand— Pippa tried to make her feel confident to talk to her parents but the teenager couldn't believe anything her aunt was telling her.

The woman could see that her niece was not very confident, and she feared that she would have the same doubts about her parents' affection again. She took out her purse where she kept her mobile phone and rummaged through the stained photographs to show one in particular.

—I recently found this photograph in a drawer in my house— she said as she showed her the screen.

In the photograph you could see an eleven-month-old Victoria asleep on her mother's chest, who was looking at her with a big smile on her face. The teenager stood there admiring it for a while, thinking that she had never seen that picture before.

—That picture was taken by me one day when I went to visit us in Wales— she said with a smile —Your mother wasn't well... but she always smiled for you— Pippa explained, making Victoria want to know more. Her mother never talked about her as a child, which sometimes made her feel rather sorry for her.

William awoke to the sound of his alarm blaring through the room, he quickly turned it off trying not to wake his girlfriend and daughter. He sighed in relief to see them sound asleep. Victoria was between them, so he gave her a few kisses all over her beautiful face.
