Victoria went to spend the weekend with her family as it was her mother's birthday on Monday and she was unable to see her mother. Things seemed to have improved which made them very happy. Her father went to pick her up from boarding school as they had to pick up Kate's present.

—How are you, sweetheart?— asked William as his first born got into the car and sat in the passenger seat.

—Good— she smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek in greeting. They began to talk until the prince noticed the necklace around her neck.

—And that?— he asked intrigued, causing the teenager to tense up and a lump to form in his throat. His father wasn't going to be amused to know who had given it to her.

—Andrew gave it to me— she muttered under her breath so he wouldn't hear, but he did. She could see his hands tighten on the steering wheel and his knuckles turned white. He was silent for a long time, which made Victoria more and more nervous.

—Why is that?— he spoke louder than he intended, making the teenager startle at his attitude.

—It's just a Christmas present— she replied softly trying to reassure her father but all went quiet again.

William was quite jealous of the boy, even if he didn't want to admit it. He didn't think he would have to share his little girl for at least a few more years. Time had passed too quickly, and she was already becoming a woman, and that was not easy to take in.

—I'll take it off— Victoria said, unclasping the clasp of the necklace sadly.

—Better— he murmured, making the princess's heart break.

—We are nothing papa— she explained, trying to reassure him.

—Do you like him?— he asked fearfully, causing Victoria to look at him and try to read his face.

—Yes— she answered without thinking. William sighed deeply looking at his daughter with teary eyes. He was not prepared for that. He parked the car in front of the jewellery store and changed the conversation.

The teenager didn't know if he was angry or not, but she preferred to leave the conversation as it was and enjoy the weekend with her family.

—He gave her a necklace!— William shouted, pacing around the room as Kate watched him sit on the bed with a smile on her face. She found it amusing to see her husband panicking because Victoria was in love.

—Will, it's no big deal— she said, coming up behind him to hug him. —I think it's cute— Kate commented, earning a disbelieving look from the prince.

—I want this boy away from my daughter— he said, laying down on the bed and turning off the light, making the brunette roll her eyes.

—Don't you think you're overreacting?— she asked, lying down next to him, making him sigh deeply and shake his head. Kate left it at that for the moment, to talk to Victoria first so she could tell her all the details.

The next day they threw a big party at her house. The whole family was there. Catherine woke up that morning to the sound of her four children opening their bedroom door to cuddle up with them. Victoria and George cuddled with their mother while Charlotte and Louis cuddled with their father. They went back to sleep for a few minutes. The Duchess had a big smile on her face, she loved sharing these moments with her family. Although they also wondered if this would be the last time she would be with her children like this. They were growing up so fast and it scared her.

They sat down to breakfast with cake, which Victoria had made the night before. Her mother was the one who baked the cakes for everyone, so it seemed like a good idea for the teenager to do that for her mother. She loved to cook and didn't mind doing it since she couldn't depend on her father for that. He wasn't exactly the best in the kitchen.
