It had been an exhausting weekend, so William and Catherine decided to let Victoria spend the day with her best friend while they went to Big Help Out with their other children.

Although the teenager loved helping people, like any teenager she wanted to spend as much time as possible with her friends.

Sometime in the morning Maya arrived at Kensington with a big smile on her face and almost immediately Victoria ran up to her and gave her a big hug. The teenage girls went to the cinema to watch a horror movie while the others got dressed to go out.

—Have fun and stay out of trouble— Catherine said goodbye before leaving the house and the friends nodded, putting on their best faces.

As soon as they heard the car pull away, Maya grabbed her backpack and pulled out several beers and a pack of cigarettes. The house was completely empty, so they thought they would never get caught.

—I adore you, you know that?— said the princess, taking a beer from the blonde's bag.

—Everyone loves me— she replied egocentrically as she tossed her hair back in diva fashion, causing them both to burst out laughing.

Victoria was quite attentive to social media as she knew that once they left the place she only had an hour to pick it all up.

—Did not you get bored?— asked Maya as she opened her second beer —At the coronation— she clarified when she saw the princess's confused face —After you left I almost fell asleep— she added earning a laugh from the chestnut.

—At first I was just concentrating on not forgetting the oath. And then I just started thinking about anything else— she replied with a shrug.

—People by tiktok love you— Maya announced making Victoria look at her in confusion, after the comment she had read hours ago she didn't think anyone outside of her family loved her.

Maya showed her the thousands of lives that were on her. Which made the teenager's heart start pounding. One of the main purposes was to make herself known, but she didn't think it would have such an effect, let alone so quickly.

She took the beer that was in her hand and drank it all in one gulp, leaving Maya stunned.

—Are you okay?— she asked worried when she saw her best friend's reaction.

Victoria sighed and talked to her about what she had read that night, she knew she shouldn't listen to them, but her head couldn't stop thinking about it.

Maya comforted her and so the next few minutes passed. Until the princess found that her parents and siblings had already left the organisation 10 minutes ago. They began to pick up the beer cans and put the cigarette box in the blonde's backpack. They brushed their teeth and changed their clothes so as not to smell of tobacco.

The two of them had missed being able to have those moments together, since Victoria had been grounded they had only been able to be together in class.

—I stole it from my mother yesterday— said the brunette, taking a Dior blusher from her dressing table with a big smile on her face.

They wore very little as they didn't want Kate to find out. Victoria didn't usually wear much make-up so she only put on a little mascara and a clear gloss with pink glitter.

They went out into the garden and took a seat on a wooden swing as they goofed around and laughed loudly.

Victoria thought how lucky she was to have her best friend. With her condition, it wasn't easy to find someone she could trust and be sure she wouldn't tell the paparazzi.
