The family from Wales headed to Switzerland for a family holiday in the snow. Victoria had always loved skiing so she was very excited, but she was even more excited that her cousin Louise and her family were joining them two days later. She had a big smile on her face making everything around her glow.

—Do you want to see Hotel Transylvania?— asked George to his older sister who was reading. The teenager nodded, putting down her book to give her full attention to the movie playing on a small television in the private jet.

Kate joined them shortly after, standing between the two of them, which caused them to rest their heads on each other's shoulders. The woman smiled and felt a sense of peace at having her two older children cuddled up to her. They were getting older by the day, which meant she would be getting far fewer hugs —I love you guys— she murmured, kissing the top of their heads.

Meanwhile William, Charlotte and Louis were already at the hotel. They had to travel on separate planes as protocol dictated to protect the heirs to the throne. If any accident happened, they made sure they had heirs.

—I choose this room— said the girl running around the place. Louis chose his room as well and they began to put their clothes in the wardrobes.

—Vic is coming, isn't she?— the boy asked hopefully. He missed her so much when she was at boarding school and always asked about her.

—Of course she is. She's coming with mum and Georgie— replied the man with a smile, causing his face to light up and he began to clap his hands enthusiastically. The adults also missed spending the days with their four children, as Victoria wanted to spend most of her weekends at boarding school. Seeing her less and less. It was understandable that she wanted to spend more time with her friends than with her parents as she was a teenager, but they couldn't help but have their hearts break every time she told them she wouldn't be visiting.

—Can we go now?— asked Victoria in her pastel pink ski jumpsuit holding up the sticker-filled boards she had put up herself. Her parents nodded as they finished getting Louis ready and the family of six headed for the station.

Victoria made her way to one of the more complicated ski tracks, while the adults were distracted. They would never have let her go alone, but she had two security guards following her every step. So she thought about getting away from her family and going to the track she wanted.

—Where is she?— Catherine asked desperately, looking every which way. Her heart was beating fast as she imagined the worst things.

—She's on that ski track— said William, pointing to one of the more complicated tracks after talking to the bodyguards. The woman sighed in relief and they waited for their first-born to join them. The press would soon appear, so they would have to stick together.

A wave of reporters arrived in their direction, snapping a million photographs. Victoria tensed up in seconds and prayed that the torture would end soon. William noticed and rested his hand on the princess's right shoulder causing her to relax a little.

—Can I go now?— she asked when all the reporters had left. Kate shook her head.

—Let's go to the kiddie track with your siblings— she said, causing the teenager to let out a big sigh. She loved her siblings but hated having to do kid stuff for them.

—I can go on my own— she replied and her mother gave her a warning look making her shut up as she didn't want to ruin the holiday so soon.

They spent an hour on that rink until the Duchess approached her firstborn. —Do you want to go to the other ski track?— she asked, making Victoria's blue eyes light up and she nodded immediately. She thought she would stay there for the rest of the afternoon. —Thank you for not getting angry. I know it wasn't your perfect plan— Kate said sympathetically as they headed down the ski track.
