Hues of pinks and oranges lit up the morning sky. The clouds were given a heavenly, rosy glow by the rising sun.

Mud stained the outsole of my boots, but that did not concern me right now. An anxious ache in my stomach begged me to turn around, yet we got closer to the outskirts of the magical forest.

As we neared the town, citizens young and old stood by their homes and businesses, eager to bid farewell to their loved ones.

Several banners decorated the small town, each carefully painted with uplifting words.

The citizens cheered and waved, each of them smiling and filled with glee.

Sergeant Caricias allowed us a few minutes to say goodbye to friends and family.

One by one the crew separated, each welcomed with a heartfelt embrace from their loved ones.

My family lived elsewhere, so these people were all nothing but complete strangers to me. Still, it brought me joy seeing these families and friends come together to say their goodbyes.

Joy and delight filled the air. These moments were soon going to be nothing but cherished memories.

With a wide smile, Coco approached what seemed to be his wife.

As I glanced at the joyful couple, I noticed..a bump! Was she? Yes, she was! A gasp of delight was all I let out; Coco was going to be a father.

I stoodly idly by, giving the two space, allowing them to have their sacred moment. Once they shared a deep, final kiss she spoke, "Don't forget me."
