With a surge of determination, Y/n shoved Azulin away from her.

Azulin stumbled back. His one eye gleamed with a sinister delight, "Don't think I'm bluffing. You should know that by now, Y/n."

"You don't deserve to be Liutenant after everything you've done." Y/n's voice shook with anger and frustration. "After what you did to Co-.."

"Don't say his name." Azulin's deep voice boomed through the room, "He is no longer a factor."

Pride gleamed within Azulin's one blue eye. He showed no remorse for what he did to his comrade.

Not too long ago, Coco was Chief of Recruits. But now?

He was dead.

Dead.

Now Azulin was Liutenant, and more importantly, alive.

"Now that you are Liutenant, you should focus on more important things." Azulin stood tall. His mere presence exuded an air of malevolence and pride.

Y/n scoffed, "No title, no mask, nothing will ever truly hide how sick you are."

"Call it what you want." Azulin narrowed his eye at her, "But I've worked hard to get where I am. And I'm going to make it all worth it when I win us the war."

His right hand trembled with a dangerous mixture of pride and fury.

He was so sure in his beliefs, and no one could convince him otherwise.

Y/n glared up at him, "You're still on with that? You couldn't even handle a little Unicorn. What makes you think-.."

'GRAB'

With a sudden burst of aggression, Azulin's hand shot out, grabbing her delicate jaw in a vice-like grip.

His nails, like daggers, dug into her soft fur.

Y/n winced, feeling a sharp sting of pain shoot up her jaw.

"Remember what I told you sometime ago?" He spoke is a low voice.

"Get on my nerves," he growled, tone laced with a dangerous edge, "and I'll bite."

Her heart sunk.

As Y/n's gaze met his piercing blue eye, a shiver ran down her spine.

The intensity of his stare was unnerving, as if he could see right through her.

In that brief moment, her fear was evident, and he seemed to relish in it.

"Heh." A twisted satisfaction played across his masked face, "Not so tough now, hm?"

His heavy breath hit the inside of the mask.

Azulin's pupil never left her.

Every single feature, every strand of (f/c) fur, even the scar that ran across her face; it was captivating.

But this fascination went beyond mere admiration.
