Finally, it's the day.

The day that will determine the outcome of the War.

As the morning sun hung high, the sky was painted with a pallete of eerie yellow and purple hues.

The air was thick with tension and anticipation. Everyone knew that many would not survive.

It's a horrible feeling really, knowing that today, several of your comrades and friends were going to die.

Even so, each soldier obeyed the ruthless Liutenant's orders. All for the sake of ending the War.

Every corner of the camp was alive with the ceaseless activity of soldiers, all preparing for the imminent battle.

Tents stood tall and proud, their fabric billowing in the gentle evening breeze.

With shovels in hand, they began to dig deep trenches, muscles aching with each pile of dirt they tossed aside.

Barbed wire was hung near the deep trenches, along with wooden poles and sandbags.

Y/n frantically jogged through the camp, (f/c) eyes scanning through the hundreds of soldiers hurrying by.

None of them were Pompon.

One hand held her aching neck, as it was still covered in bite marks from last night.

"Have you seen-.." "Hey! Have-.." "Wait up!"

No one was paying much attention to her. Each soldier that sped by was far too busy with their designated task.

Y/n's patience was wearing out, "Please! One of you. I'm trying to look for someone. Help me out." Desperation was clear in her tone.

"The Liutenant has ordered us to not take any orders from you Y/n." Said one soldier as he passed by.

Others nodded and continued on.

"What?" Y/n was in utter disbelief, "You're listening to him? You all must want a death wish. He's going to get everyone killed!"

"Liutenant Azulin is an excellent example, our beacon of hope! He told us that we'd win the War." Several bears agreed, their expressions filled with certainty.

Little did they know that Azulin was not to be trusted. The intentions of ending the War were there, but it would not end well.

Azulin was desperate.

Desperate to fulfill the prophecy, which was rightfully his to achieve.

"Listen to me." Y/n desperately sought to catch their attention, "It's not too late. We can retreat and think of a better plan than this."

They paid her no mind. The soldiers carried on, Azulin's promises firmly planted in their hearts.

Then, with a swift and practiced motion, the soldiers raised their right hand to their brow in a sign of respect. They began to greet, "Liutenant!"
