'RUMBLE'
The once vibrant sky was now shrouded in a blanket of eerie grey clouds.
The gentle patter of cold raindrops cascaded from above. Each droplet, like a tear shed for the fallen, found its way onto the lifeless bodies strewn across the desolate terrain of the battlefield.
A spine-chilling silence filled the air. No screams, no cries, no chanting.
Only silence.
'Who intervened? It couldn't have been one of those beasts. No. I could've sworn it sounded like...' Azulin's wondered.
Holding Y/n over his shoulder, Azulin trudged along the field, no remorse left behind that lone blue eye.
"Put me down!" Y/n slammed her fists right on his back. But Azulin kept going.
The metallic scent of blood loomed in the air. Organs, fur, and bits of flesh lay along the damp grass. Hundreds of corpses, from both Bears and Unicorns, lay scattered along the battlefield.
No one survived.
Azulin's boots squished along the muddy terrain. A smirk followed as a familiar dark fuschia hat came into view.
"Would you look at that?" Azulin chuckled, "What a fitting outcome for the Corporal. Wouldn't you say Y/n?"
With her head hung low, Y/n looked away, refusing to look at the Corporal's mangled corpse. An all too familiar pain surged in her sinking heart.
"No." She mumbled beneath her breath. The Corporal was gone.
A satisfied 'hmph' escaped him.
He continued, his eye occasionally darting on the fallen soldiers. Pride overflowed within him; he's finally done it.
In his sick, twisted mind...Azulin has won the War.
Now, all he needed to do was drink the blood from the last Unicorn.
"Hm?" A certain figure in the distance caught Azulin's attention. It was all too familiar.
Cold rain droplets continued to pour down at a quicker pace.
Setting Y/n to the ground, Azulin quickly grabbed her wrist.
Without a moment's hesitation, he tugged her along. Her head shook in defiance and struggled. A futile attempt to resist.
But Azulin, with his immense strength, held her firmly in his grasp.
"Do not struggle." He demanded, his hold on her becoming more firm with each passing moment. He led her forward, and they neared the figure.
Y/n shivered, the icy droplets hitting her (f/c) fur with no mercy. By now, the sight of bloodied corpses was all too familiar to her, and even so, fear still overcame her.
The closer they got, the clearer the figure became.
Azulin's breath caught in his throat, escaping his lips in a sudden gasp. The sound echoed beneath his mask.
