Jin unlocked the basement door and turned on the light as he and Silas went down into the now well lit depths. At the bottom of the stairs they both looked around but they couldn't see the ghost trapped down here anywhere. Jin set up the two cameras they'd brought with them from the bedroom and placed them on a small shelf being stored there. Silas saw a lot of purplish blue in one corner behind a few stacked up pieces of furniture.

"If they were planning to sell the place why leave all this stuff down here?" Silas muttered. "They should be getting rid of anything they don't want instead of leaving it all here for someone else to deal with. Mind you some of this stuff looks like it could be sold. I wouldn't mind being the one to do it."

"Tell them that whenyou see them in the morning," Jin mused with a chuckle also looking around.

"Near that stacked up furniture in the opposite corner of the stairs is a human sized cold spot sitting there," Silas informed looking at the infrared camera.

"Katana are you here?" Jin asked holding out the audio recorder looking at the spot Silas indicated.

"Yeah," was the response he got. "Who are you? Why are you here?"

"I'm Jin Aizawa. I'm a psychic. I'm here to help you and the others move on. Can you come talk to me instead of hiding?" Jin asked him.

Katana stood up and came out from behind the furniture stack. Now that he wasn't near unconsciousness Silas could clearly see the boy was see through, something he hadn't noticed when he'd first seen him. Katana kept his distance but he didn't seem threatened by them and he wasn't threatening to them.

"Katana I have Silas with me. You might remember him from earlier. He was hiding in the little spot under the stairs when you first approached."

"I remember. You were injured and I thought the house would claim another life then I heard movement upstairs and tried to go up to get someone's attention but I forgot I'm stuck here until morning and I didn't think anyone could see or hear me anyway," Katana said in a soft tone.

"Why are you trapped down here?" Silas asked him.

"Because I died down here and tonight's the fourth anniversary of that night."

Katana leaned against the furniture stack with his arms crossed. Jin sat on the floor cross legged. Silas simply stood next to Jin. Katana continued speaking.

"Most of the time we can wonder around the house willingly and converse with each other and hang out but on the anniversary of the blood bath that took place here we all become trapped in the areas where we died. Some of us are lucky. They have a bit of company. Zac has his brother, Mick's girlfriend is with him and Freddy has that kid who always hung around the Super Stars. Others like me and Shinki and Gabe are alone. Bowie is within sight of Zac and Nightfell so he's lucky too. Lui wants to be left alone and doesn't care that he is."

"You miss Shinki," Jin realized.

"Yeah," Katana told him after some silent thinking. "I'm tired of being stuck in this house let alone in the basement alone."

"I want to help you. First I need to know if you remember the guy who killed you," Jin questioned.

"I don't know a namebut he had cyan colored eyes, three different colors in his hair and was in ablack suit. One of the few times I talked with Akari she inquired if the guycould have been named Kurt or Theodore. She learned the names of the guys responsiblefor our murders the day she died. Her attacker had told her."
