Jin sat next to Fubuki against the wall diagonally from the door. He was trying to stay calm and in control while keeping Fubuki, who was still bleeding from his gunshot wound, awake and responsive. After discussing with the ghosts in the room about how to get the first aid supplies and realizing that wasn't an option at the moment Jin closed the bedroom door, locked it and moved the bedside table in front of it. The table being pushed up against the door had made a small sound that had caught the criminal's attentions. Now Jin and Fubuki were trapped and in quite a bit of danger.

"Damn. Great," Jin muttered. "We really gotta form a plan before they get in here."

Kurt was relentlessly kicking the door lock, the handle and the middle of the door itself trying to get it to come down or at least get it open enough to get into the room. Theodore was looking from the door to Kurt and everywhere else while he waited patiently for Kurt to get the door open. He had his gun out and ready in case the occupants of the room decided to attack them to try to escape. Theodore was also watching the stairs in case anyone else from this group they were dealing with came up to try to help their trapped friends. There was also the possibility of the cops showing up suddenly. That wouldn't be a good thing for Theodore and his partners.

Theodore was actually quite surprised the cops hadn't showed up yet. Surely that woman who'd called earlier looking for her son would have realized something was wrong by the words of Free and her son and called the cops to check things out even though her son had said he was fine. Maybe she had and they were on their way at that very moment. Then again maybe they weren't and that woman bought her son's and his friend's little lie after all.

"Damn it. This door just won't open. No matter how many times I kick it there's no cracks or splints in the wood and the lock is still secure," Kurt seethed getting madder and madder.

"Calm down," Theodore said as he pushed off the wall behind him and aimed his gun at the lock.

Theodore fired three shots into the lock and around it. One hit the lock and the other two hit the door around the lock. He leaned back against the wall again while gesturing to Kurt to proceed. Kurt tried the door handle. It was loose but still locked. Next he aimed a really good and powerful kick at the spot Theodore had shot up and the lock broke.

On the stairs Bowie stood in front of Norman to block him from going up. He stood firmly until he locked eyes with Norman and saw his eyes were glazed with a faraway look in them. Norman wasn't there. His eyes were open and his body was moving but he wasn't there. someone else was in control of him.

Bowie knew Norman had been in the living room. He saw him dragged in there when he'd been caught. He'd heard the conversation of what to do with him and even heard Freddy going after him to keep him subdued. His possessed body had come out of the living room too.

'Possessed,' Bowie whispered quietly to himself. 'He's possessed by either Freddy or Akira.'

'Bowie see if you can leave the stairs now or not,' Freddy's voice came from Norman's mouth in a quiet whisper.

Bowie closed his eyes with a relieved sigh and nodded. He walked past where Freddy, in Norman's body, stood to the bottom of the stairs. When he got to the bottom step he paused briefly. Would this work? Could he leave the stairs now? Freddy left the living room. But he did it by possessing Norman. If he hadn't taken over Norman's body would he still be stuck in the living room right now? Maybe. Bowie took a hopeful breath and moved his foot from the step to the floor. He couldn't put his foot on the floor. He could barely move it past the step to put it on the floor.
