This floor is the last place I slept on
It's tiles the last surface I adorned
As the cold seeped into my pores
I closed my eyes and let go
Slowly but surely the colour faded from the marble
Enriched my skin, the rest assimilated into my blood
It has deluded my soul into thinking it lives
When all it did is tainted it further
Beyond the point of repair or choice
It said that what I feel is love
Not convinced all I recall is feeling dull
The shine of my silhouette is lesser than before
Yesterday it was gold, not anymore
