"I'll get over it"

I wake up kinda early but didn't get much sleep the last night. I make my way to the kitchen and overhear Charles and Arthur speaking so I decide to not enter yet.

C: "No I don't think you understand me Arthur. It happend right in front of me. I could've done something! Anything! But she went thru all of it alone.."

A: "Don't you understand? She didn't only wanted to protect you, she wanted to protect Pierre too."

C: "Why would she do that? What he did was-"

A: "She didn't wanted for you both to loose your best friend."

C: "Bullshit why would she do that?"

A: "Oh mate you can't be that stupid! They fell for each other"

C: But then why did he-"

I enter the kitchen pretending I haven't heard anything "Good morning". I walk past them and make myself a coffee.

"Can we talk? I need to apologise.." I hear Charles behind me so I turn around and nod. We sit down on our balcony while Arthur leaves us alone.

Charles takes a deep breath "I shouldn't have reacted the way I did yesterday.. It was for sure the worst way.. I'm glad that you told us and.. I- I promise this will never happen again.." I nod and wait for him to continue "It just got me pretty off guard. I knew things between you guys were complicated but I'm blaming myself for most of it.."

"Charles none of this was your fault" I try to assure him.

"If I would've known everything earlier I would've never played match maker. I could've-"

"Stop blaming you! I'm serious otherwise I'll have to push you off our balcony."

He laughs "I love you and I just want you to be safe and happy..."

"I love you two. I didn't do it on purpose I.. I don't want to see you and Pierre fighting.."

"I can't stand him now."

"But I think right now he needs you the most.." Charles remains silent and thinks about my words.

"Maybe you're right.."

"We both know I am." I say laughing. He gets up and hugs me tight. After he places a kiss on top of my head he says "Please tell me earlier next time.. I just want to be there for you".

"I promise. Now go and call Pierre." He nods and leaves back inside.

I'm not long on my own because Arthur comes outside and sits down "sooo..?".

I laugh "soooo..?"

"Oh just tell me"

"I send him inside to call Pierre. We are good no worries."

"Sooo..?"

"Just spit it out thuthur" I say laughing.

"You fell for pierre didn't you?"

I shrug "there were definitely feelings involved but.. I'll get over it. Other moms have pretty sons too."

He smiles "I'm sure you won't stay single for long.. I mean look at you" he says with a wink which makes me giggle.

The next few days I enjoy my time home and with the family.

It it is Friday and the boys went out with their girlfriends. I decided to stay home and watch some netflix. As I did my phone suddenly lights up and I see a message from Daniel.
