"Not. Your. Business."

1st September 2023, Monza

Hearing his voice sends a shiver down my spine. He pulls me into his arms and suddenly the world is okay again.

"What happened Lia?" Pierre asks me, still holding me in his arms.

"I don't know.." I answer quietly.

"I can't stand seeing you like that.." the second these words leave his lips, I melt. I haven't talked to him in weeks... I miss him.

"Lance broke up with me and... I just saw him again."

"He what?!" He tenses up.

"It's fine.. I'm fine.. it's just.. I miss him.. as my friend.." as he doesn't answer I continue "I'm sorry I shouldn't be taking about this with you.."

He shakes his head and smiles softly "don't worry.. we're friends after all right..?"

I smile "we are?"

He laughs "well.. yeah?"

"Good to know.." we both smile, getting lost in each others eyes. How could I not ? His eyes are everything...

He clears his throat "I have an interview now.. drive to survive.."

I step aside "I won't stop you"

He smiles at me for a moment before he nods "I'll see you around Lia."

"Don't call me that!!" I say laughing. He acts like he doesn't hear me, but I just know he did, his smirk gives it away.

A second later I make my way back to the red bull hospitality. I was just about to enter as I hear Lance calling me.

I turn around and walk to him smiling. He seems shy "hey.. are you okay?"

I smile "sure why?"

"You basically run away from us.. and I know you.. I just want to make sure you're okay" he smiles

"You're the sweets, thank you.. I guess it's just- seeing you again... I miss you.. as my friend.."

He smiles "how about we grab some food later and just talk? I miss my friend too.."

I smile brightly and nod "I'd love that! I can grab some food once I'm done here and come over?"

He smiles "that sounds really good, I'll text you my room number."

I can't help but smile. "Perfect." I point towards the hospitality "I have to work now"

He chuckles "have fun, I'll see you later"

I smile at him before I enter the hospitality. The work passes by quickly, I love working with my boys and the team has been nothing but amazing.

I exit the paddock, assuming most of the diver are gone by now as I see Charles. "You still here?" I ask him and he nods.

"Yeah, wanna get some food?"

"actually, I already have plans" I say smiling.

He gives me a sceptical look "with who?"

"Lance."

He stops immediately and looks at me serious. "No."

I laugh, assuming it's a joke "no?"

"He hurt you why would you go out with him again??" He gets mad.

"Because I miss him, as my friend. It's not a date, we just want to catch up."

"No. That's a stupid idea"

"Just because you cut off all your exes like they mean nothing doesn't mean I have to do the same. You say 'oh we will stay friends' but I mean that."

"That's not fair."

"But it's true."

"You shouldn't do that!"

"I'll stay friends with him. That's not your choice?!"

"But it's a dumb choice!!" He raises his voice loudly.

"Not. Your. Business." I say and storm off.

Who does he think he is? Yes he's like my older brother but that's none of his business. He treats his exes like trash, so who does he think he is to tell me what to do and what not?!

I try to push my anger aside as I get the food for me and Lance. 

The hours with Lance pass by quickly. It feels soo good to just talk to him. We catch up about everything and I really hope we can be good friends from now on.

I get off the elevator, on my way to my room. I walk around the corner and see Charles sitting in front of my door. As soon as he sees me he gets up, but remains silent.

Without saying anything I open my door and leave inside, not closing the door to signal Charles he can come in. I put my stuff away and sit down on my bed, waiting for Charles to talk.

"I'm sorry little one..." he begins. I shrug and wait for him to continue.

"It's not my place to tell you what to do. I just can't stand seeing you get hurt again. I- if you want to stay friends with him that's okay.. just please be careful."

I smile at him "I'll be careful."

"Good.." he smiles.

I get up and hug him tight "thank you for watching out for me. But I know what I'm doing. Lance is a good guy."

"Yeah I know.. but you're my little sister." He scratches the back of his head.

"And I appreciate you for that." We smile at each other. "Soo should we watch a movie ?" I ask him and he nods exited.

"Good because I'm in the mood for Mr. Peter Parker." I say making Charles laugh.

"Why am I not surprised?" We both get onto my bed and open Disney+. I loved marvel, he learned to love with it.

I'm glad he waited for me. I hate fighting with him...

We watch Spider-Man No way home. I still remember the first time I saw it in the cinema. Hell never have I ever screamed that loud when... you know ;)

I was about to fall asleep in Charles arm as I hear my phone ringing. I take it and see I got a message...

Making my heart skip a beat and my smile wider.

"Hello f r i e n d.. 😉"

It's him.. it'll always be him...
