You and the Stars

Words lack for what I feel I must say
For this mouth I use to speak knows no grace
Only when a gentle glimpse of your skin catches my eyes
The words fall out like I've no thoughts in my head

In tragedy I sit and stare to the sky
In harmony I relish in the light of the good day
No matter what I do or who I sit with
The endless abyss of above catches my sight

At the end of my days I sleep sweet nothing
My eyes don't dare to close upon the night
For I'd loathe to miss even the faintest of stars
I couldn't bare to be blind walking earth

My heart is heavy upon those who lack what I know they need
How could one not simply sit and stare
Your skin so comparable to the heavens
These eyes get lost in you and the sky

For I am only a man who's presence is bold
Stars glisten and your skin lights me aflame
I've been waltzing through life with a devil on my shoulder
Oh how lucky I am to have you and the heavens
