This Is Me

Hey,

So you're probably wondering why I'm bothering to tell you my story. Well, I thought I was quite un-extraordinary. I have a simple family: my mum, dad, my older brother Jordi and my younger sister Melissa (but we call her Mel). I live in a small town near Leeds in West Yorkshire and I'm 15 years old.
I used to live the other side of town but an serious incident happened causing us to move... But that story is for another time...

I go to the local high school and I'm in year 11. I attend with my best friend Leondre. People think it's weird that my best mate is a lad but I couldn't care less. Everyone assumed that we were dating, which would be extremely weird as he's like a brother to me. I also have two other best friends called Brad and Shannon and we're all in the same year. School is tough, especially for Leondre and I, we basically get bullied.

Beside from school life, I'm a dancer. I train easily at least 15 hours a week at an intense, local dance company. The people there are like my family. I maybe the teacher's favourite, but that's something I can't help I suppose. She says it's because I work the hardest but it's all going towards my future, being a professional dancer. Nothing is going to get in the way of me achieving my dreams...

That was all until I met Charlie.

I was at the park one day with Leo and he told me that he was starting a duo called 'Bars And Melody' with this lad that he met online. I didn't think too much of it until the day that Charlie was coming over to stay with him for a few days. When Charlie arrived, I started to like him instantly and he must of felt the same as it didn't take long for him to ask me out.

And that leads us now. A year down the line. I'm still focused on the same dream of being a dancer so I'm working my hardest to achieve that. Charlie and I are still going strong but it's hard as he lives in Bournemouth so I can only see him every weekend/every other weekend. Leo, Brad, Shannon and I are still in school and coping with everyone else.

So that is why I'm not that extraordinary. I'm just a simple, Yorkshire lass trying to achieve her dreams. But, what I didn't know was my whole life was about to change...
