CHAPTER 73

We arrived at the studio 15minutes later. I walked through the familiar glass doors and into reception. The boys and Victoria followed me through into the den. Miss Abbey was in studio A so I knocked on the door politely and entered. Kyle, Becca, Jemima, Imogen and Nick saw me and ran at me like a heard of bulls!

"EMILY!" They all chorused as they tackled me to the floor.

"Hey guys, it's only a fly in visit as I have to go back to the airport," I smiled as Charlie pulled me up.

"We've missed you millions," Imogen said as she hugged me tightly.

"I've missed all of you more,"

"It's weird without you here," Nick smiled. Finally we were back to normal after his crush on me stage.

"It's weirder without seeing you guys,"

"You'll be happy to know that we won a Nationals again last season," Jemima proudly announced.

"I'd expect nothing less," I giggled.

"Woah, wait a second. Emily, what's that shining piece of jewellery on your finger?" Becca inquired taking my hand and taking a closer look.

"Well... Charlie and I are engaged," I said pulling Charlie closer.

"Wow! Congratulations!" Becca shouted.

"Thanks guys," I said.

"Charlie, you take care of her, yeah?" Kyle warned. Wow, he can be really overprotective sometimes but that's what make him, him.

"Of course mate, love her to pieces," Charlie replied.

"Is that a certain Broadway star that I hear?" Miss Abbey asked.

"It certainly is," I said hugging her.

"You've grown. How old are you now?"

"16 almost 17,"

"Time really does fly. I'm extremely proud of you,"

"Thank you for everything Miss Abbey. Right, we've got to go. I need to go to the airport," I said pulling everyone into a huge hug.

"Bye Emily, see you soon," they all said.

"Bye guys, love you all," then Victoria, Leo, Charlie and I walked back to my house so we could pile Jordi's car with my suitcases and go to the airport. Once we got home, I double checked everything to ensure I hadn't left anything behind. Jordi, Leo and Charlie put my suitcases in the boot and we all got in. Now it was time to say the hardest goodbyes. Charlie sat a the window seat, me in the middle, Victoria to my rights and Leo in the front next to Jordi. Charlie had intertwined our fingers tightly, I never want to let go. The journey was quiet with only a few words said. Once we reached the airport, I got my suitcases and bags and we all walked into the terminal.

"Right, I guess this is goodbye then," I said as my eyes teared up. I promised myself that I want going to cry; looks like I've broken it. Victoria came up and hugged me tightly.

"Make sure you come back soon. A year was too long without my best friend. I have Morgan, Ellie, Harri, Catherine and Nicole but they're all older. Leo and Charlie need you too, especially Charlie. I love you so much Emily," Victoria said and we hugged once more.

"I love you more and I promise I'll try and get home more often,"

Leo came up next.

"See you later Emily, don't forget us. We will try and get over there but FaceTime, call and text us. Your my oldest friend and one of my best friends. I don't know how I'll be without you here to help me. Love you lots," and he hugged me.

"Don't worry Leo, I'll never forget you. I'll be home before we know it. I love you too," then he returned to Victoria's side and looped his arm around her waist, cradling her and comforting her tears.

"Well little sis, I guess I'll see you later. Don't worry about Mel, she'll be fine. I know I'm going to sound like dad now but that's only because o care about you: take care of yourself out there. If there's any problems, ring either me, Ollie, Joey, Andy, Ryan, Leo or Charlie. Love you sis," Jordi said hugging me and ruffling the hair on my head up.

"Okay, love you too,"

Charlie next. He walked up and didn't say a word. He just hugged me as if he never wanted to let go and picked me up. Our heads buried into each other's necks; my face brimming with tears now.

"I'll get over there as soon as I can. I don't know how long I can go without seeing my princess. These last few weeks hold a lifetime of memories. Including this one on your finger. Text/FaceTime/ring whenever you want, I'll always answer for you Em. Be safe and I love you to infinity and beyond," Charlie said as tears started trickling down his face. as he was still picking me up, I wiped the tears with my thumb and kissed his forehead.

"I promise I'll stay in contact. You mean more to me than the world and the ring will help me remember that when I'm back in New York. I love you so much Charlie Lenehan," and we shared one final kiss that seemed to last an eternity. I wasn't until my final flight boarding call was announced that we broke away and I took my bags and wheeled them away.......

**a few days later**

CHARLIE'S POV

Emily had been back in New York a few days now and I miss her so much. Blair's trying to arrange a tour for us in New York and surrounding areas so we can go see her but we don't know if the plan will work out yet. I FaceTimed Em every night and she seemed to of settled back in well. Each time I see her green eyes and blonde hair appear on the screen, I miss her a little bit more.

Anyway, today is her first day back at rehearsals for Grease after the winter break so I decided to give her a call to see how it went. After 5 rings, she picks up.

C: hey baby girl

E: hey Charl

C: so how was rehearsal today?

E: okay I guess. Sam wasn't there so someone read in the parts for Danny so rehearsal was harder than usual. He hasn't text me or anything since the day I got back to England.

C: that's weird anyw...

E: oh

C: Em?

E: agh! Get off of me! Ahhhh! Someone help me please! HELP!

C: Em? Baby? Are you okay?

E: GET WAY FROM ME!!! ARGGH! OW STOP THAT! PLEASE! CHARLIE HELP ME........

Then the line cut off...
