CHAPTER 61

IT'S CHRISTMASSSS!!! December 25th is the only day where I am sort of a morning person. I woke up to Melissa repeatedly jumping on my bed.

"Emily get up! Get up Emily! Santa's been!"

I get up and pull on my dressing gown and fluffy slippers. "Come on then, but first, go jump on Jordi," I encourage as I go wake mum and dad. Put it this way, all I hear is a lot of 'ow!' And cries of Mel's name. She drags the five of us downstairs to see that Santa has indeed been. Three separate piles of presents. Mel's being the highest because all her toys are boxed in lots of spare, wasted cardboard.

We opened our presents and I got:

~new dance bag
~new leotard
~pandora charms
~Hollister spray
~new laptop

And little chocolates and smellys etc. It got to about 10am and I was helping mum cook Christmas dinner. The doorbell went and it was Morgan and her family. Mum left me to mash the potatoes whilst she went to greet Morgan's parents. Mel was getting even more excited than she already was.

"Emily honey, what time is Charlie coming?" Dad asked.

"I'll text him now,"

To: Charlie bear👫💕

Merry Christmas!🎅 what time are you coming round baby? ️Xxx

He replied in no time.

From: Charlie bear👫💕

Merry Christmas princess🎄 and around 10:20. We are about to set off now ️xxx

"Dad, he said he was setting off now," and he gave me a quick nod of the head.

Charlie soon arrived with a swift knock at the door. I went to greet him but instead, he picked me up and spun me around.

"What was that for?" I asked smiling as he held me close.

"Because I wanted to remind you how much I love you, how much I have always loved you,"

I led Charlie, Brooke and Karen into the lounge where Dad, Mel, Jordi, Morgan and her family were all sat. Mum went to go carry on with dinner and Karen went to help her. Everyone exchanged gifts. I got Charlie a brand new watch that I saw he wanted in a shop window a couple of months ago.

"Thank you so much Em! I love it!" And he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Charlie then passed me my present. I opened it and it was a silver bracelet with 'Emily & Charlie Forever And Always' engraved into it.

"Omg, it's beautiful! Thank you millions Char," I smiled hugging him tightly.

"Anything for my princess. This last year has been torture without you. I thought moving on would be wise but it made me realise how much I loved you," he whispered into my ear. I blushed to the shade of a cherry and buried my head into his chest. Charlie just wrapped his arms around me tightly as we watched Morgan and Jordi attempt to help Mel build her new toy.

Mum called for dinner so everyone made their way to the table. To say it was overcrowded was an understatement. There was 11 of us for crying out loud! On the table lay an arrange of colours and flavours ranging from Turkey to carrots, stuffing to Yorkshire puddings. I'm so glad I decided to come home for Christmas. The Christmas tunes blasting out in the background.

After dinner, Morgan and I went to go clear all the dishes and washed them. We both offered to because my mum had just spent 3 hours cooking it all.

CHARLIE'S POV

I have a secret that I can't tell Emily. It's not a good one... It is an amazing one. Well, only amazing if she makes it amazing. I took Richard (her dad), Jordi and my mum into Richard's study because I really need to ask his permission. I wanted Jordi to be there because he's Emily's brother, so it only seems right. My mum, jut for moral support really.

"What do you want to ask me Charlie?" Richard asked politely.

"Well, as you know Sir Emily and I have been going out for roughly 2 years on and off. This last year without her has killed me. Honestly, I didn't go out of my room for about 2 weeks when she left. I don't want that to happen again. I know that we are only young so we don't have to rush into it or anything but.... Can I have your daughter's hand in marriage?" I nervously asked. People we right when they said that this was nerve wrecking.

"Charlie, you make Emily the happiest that I have ever seen in her life. So yes, yes you may have her hand in marriage," Richard replied planting a smile on my face. "But if you mess this up..." He warned.

"Yes Sir. Thank you so much," I smiled then mum and Richard left just leaving Jordi and I.

"So your hopefully going to be marrying Emily then," he started.

"Hopefully if everything goes to plan that is. Jordi?"

"Yeah bro,"

"Please can you come with me to go pick the perfect ring?"

"Of course!" Then we left. We walked into the lounge to where Morgan and Emily we sat on a sofa each watching Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets. I went and snuggled behind Emily. She put her head on the arm rest and my arm went around her waist and pulled her close. My plan was to propose on New Year's Eve.

"This has been the best Christmas ever," she smiled up at me.

"Yeah it has. I love you," I replied.

"Love you too," she said then I lightly pecked her cheek.

Little did she know that hopefully it will be the best New Years Eve if her life...
