Bullies And Dance Fears

"Emily wake up, it's school!"

Eugh school.

That prison that I have to attend five days a week. However, what did make me smile was the smell of scrumptious pancakes! Mum knew how to get me up. I begrudgingly got up. God I looked a mess; I looked like the grim reaper. No lie. I went into my bathroom and took a shower and out my uniform on. It consists of: black blazer with our orange and green emblem, white shirt, green and orange clip on tie, black slim fit skirt, black tights and shoes - I wear ballet flats.

Now, what to do with my hair. I decided to do a scruffy bun on top with a curly stand hanging down either side of my face. I do. Next makeup, I don't put too much on, fill in the weird gaps on my eyebrows, concealer, foundation, eye liner and mascara. I don't want to be one of them girls who cake themselves in it! They look like a spray tan gone wrong! Then I got a text off of Charlie.

I took my phone off of charge and checked the time, 7:20 plenty of time. School doesn't start until 8:30 for form but Leo and I have to get the bus and drop Melissa off. The bus arrives at 7:55 so Leo calls for me around quarter to. I went downstairs with my NEW school bag and phone in hand.
Pancakes... Mmmmm!

"The boys got in there first I'm afraid but I saved three on the side for you, Nutella ones, just how you like them!" Mum said.

"Should of woke up quicker if you wanted anymore," laughed Joey.

"You boys shouldn't be so greedy then," I sarcastically said. After breakfast I went and brushed my teeth and then made sure Melissa was ready as mum and dad were just leaving for work. Leo came in, he looked nervous. Couldn't blame him to be honest. We get a tough time at school. Really bad.

We got on the bus after dropping Mel off. The bus was fairly quiet as not many people get the bus that we do. We got off and trudged towards the betrothed school gates. And there they were. Claudia and Jeremy. The popular people of the school surround by their little posse. They bully me and Leo so bad. Last year, it got to the point where our parents came in and talked to the headmistress but nothing was resolved. School didn't do anything.

"Just keep your head down and keep walking," I whispered to Leo. "Don't walk slow either, walk with purpose. Just go to... Erm... Form. Let's go straight there."

And he shove-guided me in the direction of form.

"Aw look who it is!" They saw us.vThey began to come over and Leo and I froze. Sometimes this is why I need Charlie here.

"How was your summer? Freaks!" Jeremy teased.

"F...fine...t...thanks," Leo stuttered. I was clung onto his arm like a monkey to a tree.

"Nice curls blondie! What, did you forget to brush your hair this morning?" Claudia laughed. By now there was a crowd around us.

"Leave her alone!" Leo yelled. I wish he hadn't because now Jeremy got up in his face.

"What did you say shorty?" He breathed.

"N..n..nothing," Leo managed to say.

"Thought so," Jeremy snorted. Leo and I made a run for it in the direction of form. That was a tough getaway. The first bell had just gone so we walked into form and over to our mates Shannon and Brad. They could tell by our faces what just happened so they didn't as questions.
