"So the things in the water wont do anything to us if we cross in You know Who's boat?" Pansy asked, looking at the boat unsurly.

"I think that at some point they will realise we are not Lord Voldermort, but for now we are okay as they have allowed us to raise the boat." Said Mattheo

I looked down at the boat. It really was very small.
"It's doesnt look like it was built for do many people. Will it hold us all? Maybe some of us should wait here-"

"Its okay Yn, you're gonna be okay" Pansy said grabbing my hand again.
I looked down at the boat, and one thing was for sure, I do not want to get in there.

Mattheo looked at me sadly.
"If it makes you feel better, the boat will not sink. Voldermort will not have cared about the weight, but the amount of magical power that crosses his lake. We are all under age, so we wont count."

I sighed and everyone climbed in. Enzo held out his hand to take. I took it as he helped me on the boat. I was the last person on, as soon as I got on the boat began to move at once.

There was no sound other than the silken ristle of the boat's prow cleaving the water; it moved without help, as though an invisible rope were pulling it onwards towards the light in the centre.

Soon we could no longer see the walls of the cavern; they might have been at see except that there were no waves.

I looked down and saw rhe reflected gold of my wandlight sparkling and glittering on the black water as we passed. The boat was carving deep rippled upon the glassy surface, grooves in the dark mirror ....

And then I saw it, marble-white, floatimg inches below the surface.

I gasped and a small scream left my mouth as I clasped my hand over it.

Everyone turned and looked at me worried, then followed my gaze to the water.

"What happened? Are you okay? Did you see something?" Pansy asked terrified.

"I-I t-think I saw a h-hand in the water- a human hand!" I whispered, barely audible, as I tried to stop myself from screaming.

"Yes, I'm sure you did" Mattheo said calmly.
I stared down into the water, looking for the vanishrd hand and a sick feeling rise in my throat.

"So that thing that jumped out of the water-?" Blaise began, but he had his answere before Mattheo answered. We all did.

The wand-light had slid over a fresh patch of water and showed us, this time, a dead man lying face up inches beneath the surface: his open eyes misted as though with cobwebs, his hair and robes swirling around him like smoke.

"There are bodies in here!" Said Draco, amd his voice sounded much higher than usual and most unlike his own.

Mattheo didn't answere, and looked unfazed about that there were dead bodies there.

I let out a small whimper, as tears filled my eyes from fear. Mattheo looked over at me, then moved and sat next to me, taking my hand in his.

"We dont need to worry about them at the moment" Mattheo said, staring me in the eyes.

"At the moment?!" Theodore and Draco repeated, tearing their gazes from the water to look at Mattheo.

"Not while they are drifting peacefully below us" said Mattheo, not looking away from me.

Nobody said anything, we all found the idea that there were bodies floating around us and beneath us horrible, and we didn't believe that they were not dangerous.

"But one of them jumped" said Enzo, trying to keep his voice as calm as Mattheo's. "When we summoned the Horcrux, a body leapt out of the lake."

"Once we take the Horcrux they wont be so peaceful, but they fear light and warmth. Fire." Mattheo said simply looking ahead, as if he didn't have a care in the world, about this whole situation. I however was sobbing quietly, and shaking uncontrollably. Mattheo noticed and pulled me into his side, rubbing my back with the hand that wasn't holding my hand. I had never seen him comfort anyone before, and I dont tjink anyone else had either as they kept glimpsing from the water to us.
