Chapter 42

Mattheo's pov:

Just as the man behind her aimed a punch, she spun around to face him, dodged the punch and kicked him in the stomach. He groaned clutching it as she then kicked him in the side, making him fall down too.

As soon as they were down she walked towards us. We rushed forwards.
"Are you okay?" Pansy asked
"I'm fine" she replied
"You're not" I said
"Let's get out of here quick" said Blaise.

Draco pulled out his wand and stupified them while I erased their memory just in case. We then swiftly moved the bodies behind a bush by magic.

We began to walk again.

"Didn't know you could fight" I told Yn
"I'm the daughter of Athena, of course I can." She said smiling at me.
"How are you feeling?" I asked, knowing she must be in pain from the punches.

"A bit sore" she admitted "You okay?"
"I'm fine, are you sure you are just sore? You're limping" I said as I looked down noticing her limp.
"It's nothing"

I frowned at her in concern, but before I could say anything else I was interrupted by Pansy.

"We should sit down somewhere" said Pansy hastily, as she noticed another group of drunk men outside a pub.

"Look this will do, in here!" She exclaimed.

It was a small shabby all-night cafè. A light layer of grease lay on all the formica-topped tables, but it was atleast empty.

We slipped into a booth, Pansy on the right, Yn next to her, and me seated next to Yn.

Opposite us sat Enzo, Theodore, Draco and Blaise.

We sat there in a prickly silence. The gum-chewing waitress shuffled over and Yn ordered drinks for us as she knew about the muggle world, having lived there.

A few burly workmen entered the café and squeezed into the next booth.

"So what's the plan" asked Blaise in a whisper.
"We should find a place to disapparate." Pansy said.
"And head for the country-side" added Draco.

"Once we're there, we could send a message to the others" said Enzo
"That's a bit risky" said Pansy.
"Yeah, we dont know where they even are" agreed Draco.

We quickly stopped talking as we saw the waitress appearing with the drinks.

"God that's disgusting!" Pansy whispered, after one sip of her drink. Unfortunately the waitress heard and shot her a nasty look as she shuffled over to take the new customer's orders.

"Tastes like shit" I added as Draco gagged on his drink.

I looked over to the waitress and customers. The larger of the workmen who was blond and quite huge, waved the waitress away. She stared affronted.

"Lets go, I dont want to drink this piss" said Draco

Yn's pov:

Before we could get up a sudden commotion behind me made me turn around to see the two workmen make identical movements and Mattheo mirrored them without conscious thought and I quickly copied. We all jumped up, our wands out.

The death eaters instantly fired a spell at us, and a sudden force knocked me sideways behind a booth. I gasped and looked to my side to see Mattheo glaring at the death eaters from behind the edge of the booth.

Chaos erupted as everyone began firing curses. The room lit up with different colour lights as spells whizzed around ricocheting off the walls in every direction. "Expulso!" Bellowed a death eater and the booth which we were hiding behind blew up.

Mattheo grabbed my hand pulling me away from the booth.

A death eater stormed towards us, shooting a spell at Mattheo but I quickly shot a sheild between them. The death eater then turned to me and began shooting spells but I dismissed each one.

The death eaters eyes burned with anger as he unexpectedly threw a punch at me. I closed my eyes not having enough time to react, waiting for the punch to hit me but it didn't. I opened my eyes to see Mattheo grab the death eaters hand to stop it from hitting me.

I quickly rose my wand to the death eater.
"Stupefy!" I murmured

The great blond death eater was hit in the face by a jet of red light and he slumped sideways, against Mattheo, who pushed him off of himself and colapse to the stone floor, unconscious.

I looked up at Mattheo and he looked back, deep into my eyes.
"Thank you" I whispered, managing a small smile
"No problem" he replied, his lips twitching upwards.

I heard another thud and turned to see the other death eater colapse, also unconscious.

"Should of recognized them" said Mattheo, studying the unconscious bodies as we all crowded around them.

"That's Dolohov" said Draco
"I think the other one is Thorfinn Rowle" Mattheo said.

"Nevermind what they're called!" Said Pansy a little hysterically.
"How did they find us?" I asked
"What are we going to do?" asked Enzo

"Lock the door" said Theodore.
"I'll turn out the lights" said Blaise

"What are we going to do with them?" Asked Draco
"Kill them?" Asked Theodore
"No! We just need to wipe their memories" I said instantly, obviously against the idea of killing them.
"Yeah its better that way, if we kill then itll be obvious we were here." Mattheo agreed

He crouched down performing the memory charm as Pansy and I went to take care of the waitress, who had been knocked out by a spell, as the rest tidied up the mess.
