Chapter 39 The Wedding Part 2

Yn's pov:
"So, what have you been up to?" I asked trying to change the topic.
"Not the best. My dad came back, as you know. I've spent most of my holidays in death eater meetings and training, and also secretly sending information about the Dark Lords plans to the Order."

I nodded not knowing what to say. Then I heard loud chatter nearing us and looked up to see all of my friends: Pansy, Agatha, Enzo, Blaise, Theodore, Sophie, Tedros and Draco. Some of them had been staying at the burrow since getting Potter from the Dursleys' and the others had been coming in and out,visiting and helping with the wedding preparations, regularly. But with them was also Mia and Tom, who I hadn't seen all summer.

At the sight of them I smiled widely and jumped out of my seat rushing towards them. I crashed Mia in a hug as we shrieked and giggled, happy to see each other again. I then turned to Tom and greeted him.

We all walked back to the table and sat down, all happy to be together again. I sat next to Mia gossiping and listening to all of her tea.

Our conversations were soon rudely interrupted as an elderly witch, with a beaky nose, red-rimmed eyes, and feathery pink hat, that gave her the look of a bad-tempered flamingo, approached us.

"Your hair's much too long, Ronald, for a moment I thought you were Ginevra. Merlin's beard, what is Xenophilius Lovegood wearing? He looks like an omelette. And who are you?" She barked at Mattheo.

"Oh yeah, he's a friend from school, er-" he looked around for help.
"His name is Barty" he said suddenly.
I bit my lip trying to hold in my laughter. From the corner of my eyes I saw Mattheo's-or should I say-Barty's eyes widen, a look of pure disgust on his face. I heard Blaise and Draco snort a little trying hard not to laugh.

"Oh how unfortunate, such a handsome boy" she sighed and looked around the table in a bossy sort of manner.

"Isn't Harry Potter here? I was hoping to meet him. I thought he was a friend of yours, Ronald, or have you merely been boasting?"

"No- he couldn't come-"
"Hmm made an excuse, did he? Not as gormless as he looks in press photographs, then. I've just been instructing the bride on how best to wear my tiara" she shouted at Harry.

"Goblin made, you know, and been in my family for centuries. She's a good-looking girl, but still French. Well, well, find me a good seat, Ronald, I am a hundred and seven, I ought not to be in my feet to long."

Ron gave Harry a meaningful look as he stood up, clearly annoyed, and led the woman off to find a seat.

As soon as he left we all bursted out laughing, and continued to make jokes untill Ron returned to find Blaise and Draco rolling on the floor, laughing hard, as Blaise had pulled Draco down with him. Sophie was blushing and giggling and Agatha was pretty much cackling, and was as red as a tomato. Mia and I were crying into each others shoulders, cluching our sides unable to breathe, while Pansy and Hermione were clutching onto each other to keep themselves up. Harry had his head in his arms unable to form words, just a splatter, or trying to start a sentence, saying a few words before dropping his head back into his arms laughing harder, making us laugh more too. Mattheo was smirking widely and Tom was looking around us all with a disgusted face.

"What did I miss" Ron asked grinning at the sight. I lifted my head up calming my laughter and wiping my eyes from tears.
"Not much" I said before breaking down again.
"Who was that lovely witch?" Mia asked sarcastically.

"My aunt, Muriel. Real nightmare she is" Ron answered, mopping his forehead on his sleeve.

"She used to come for Christmas every year, then, thank God, she took offence because Fred and George set off a Dungbomb under her chair at dinner. Dad always says she'll have written them out of her will- like they care, they're going to end up richer than anyone in the family, rate their going... Wow" he addes blinking rather rapidly at Hermione, as he had only just now noticed her.
