Hua Cheng and He Xuan are the shadows of Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan respectively. Even though they remain hidden from the outside world during the day but in the studio the bracelets are taken off, since in private lessons it's just the two of them and as friends, they trust each other. Although even if their owners put on the guard, they are still able to communicate and share their thoughts in a way only known to shadows.
As Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan engage in a sparring match in the martial arts studio, Hua Cheng and He Xuan observe their every move, analyzing their actions and predicting their next steps. Hua Cheng focuses on Xie Lian, while He Xuan observes Shi Qingxuan.
After the match is over, Hua Cheng and He Xuan share their thoughts with each other. Hua Cheng reports that Shi Qingxuan was able to hold his own against Xie Lian, but that Xie Lian's speed and agility gave him the upper hand in the end. He Xuan agrees, noting that Xie Lian's skill in the martial arts is truly impressive.
Despite their differences in abilities, Hua Cheng and He Xuan share a close bond as shadows, working together to protect and observe their owners.
