After the end of the meeting, Xie Lian exchanged a few pleasantries with the other members of various companies, with most of them just trying to bootlick.
Xie Lian didn't want to see Hua Cheng, let alone talk to him, as he was in a depressed mood, his mind is in turmoil, distressed, and confused. He didn't feel like he'd manage to pretend in front of him, so he'd rather leave as quickly as possible.
As he got to the elevator, he heard someone calling out to him.
"Mr Xie"
It was the administrative secretary, Lin.
Xie Lian turns to look at him perfunctorily.
"Can I help you with something?"
Lin can't help but feel a chil running down his spin,
'who said Mr Xie was adorable? He's downright scary!'
Lin gulps silently, laughing awkwardly,
"So sorry to disturb you, I'm sure you are busy, so sorry once again, but if you don't mind, my boss would like to meet with you for dinner tonight, and that is..if you're free, if you feel it's an inconvenience we will accept your decision as we are the ones inconveniencing you... "
Xie Lian looks towards the elevator door, deep in thought, almost in a trance...
" sure, I can free up my itinerary, we are both young businessmen, and it wouldn't hurt to get to know each other"
'and I can observe his features more closely since I was seated quite far away from him during the meeting so I can't conclude anything... '
Lin feels like a huge boulder has been lifted off of his shoulder, almost wiping non existent sweat from his forehead.
"Thank you so much, here is the contact info of my boss"
He hands him Hua Cheng's personal mobile phone number, thanking him and leaving.
Xie Lian enters the elevator, after it closes, he stares at the Crimson Red business card with an exquisite butterfly company logo in his hand, clenches it and puts it in his suit pocket expressionlessly.
