A/N: Hello there!!!! How have you been!? Better than me I bet?(☞ ಠ_ಠ)☞ because I've been busy!!! Won't say much, just that being independent (not financially of course) is a lot of pressure!!! I've even lost touch with this fic. But anyway, let's get into it once more!!!
"Dear, Xiao Xie has been a little too rosey whenever he visits lately, have you noticed?"
"Yeah, Xiao Hua's graduation hit him hard, at that time it looked like he really lost apart of his soul, I felt so bad for the kid"
The owners of these voices is none other than Mr & Mrs Xie
Mrs xie: "Yeah, I'm 85% sure he's been hooked by someone, which bold fisherman dares to throw hooks in my territory!!!"
Mr xie: "Who do you think it could be? Has he reunited with Hua?"
Mrs xie: "I don't know, but he said he's bringing someone over tonight, can't wait"
Mr xie: "I do hope it's Xiao Hua though, those two rascals did look good together and Xiao Xie did seem to genuinely like him, don't wanna see lovers separate"
Mrs xie: "yeah, how nice woul-"
Mrs xie's voice cuts short as she's interrupted by the opening of the door, followed by a cheerful voice,
"Mom, we're home"
Mr and Mrs Xie both look at each other and then to the living room door in expectation as Xie Lian makes his way in.
Xie lian first pokes his head in saying,
"Mom, Dad, do I have a surprise for you"
Mr and Mrs Xie smile warmly at the child whom, after so many years, is still their little boy.
Xie lian then completely opens the door to reveal Hua Cheng.
Mr and Mrs Xie stare at him for a couple of seconds, they couldn't help but think, 'what a fine handsome young man.' But also couldn't help but think, 'this child looks familiar, business partner's child maybe?'
"Mom, Dad, no need to introduce you guys. Since you have known each other for a long time,
Just that someone left like he committed a crime,
But now he's back and and he's mine."
Mr and Mrs Xie didn't hear Xie lians attempt at poetry, all they heard was mine and known for a long time, inexplicably, they could only think of one person.....could it really be him?
And when they try to remember his childhood silhouette-like features and scrutinize the dashing young man in front of them, they can indeed see some similarities.
Mr Xie was the first to step forward and warmly embrace Hua Cheng, then he looks into his eyes (yes eyes) with relief and gratitude, finally saying,
"Welcome home, Son"
Then Mrs Xie Hugs him next after, crying like the mother she is,
"I knew that it can only be you, my Xie was very depressed these years, but after you came, things have changed for the better. Welcome home child"
Hua Cheng was too stunned to speak, all he could do was nod and hum and bury himself into the motherly embrace.
...........................
The Squad is at the dining table having Dinner.
"I'm assuming y'all have talked about it, so when's the wedding?"
Pshhhh
Followed by a coughing made by Xie lian.
Mrs Xie then looks at his embarrassed state, then smirks.
"What? You don't want to?"
She then looks at Hua cheng lovingly,
"Xiao Hua, what do you think of this cheap son of mine?"
Hua Cheng being qued replys, "very handsome, strong, intelligent, talented, I'm very much wanting to spend the rest of my life with him"
Mrs Xie smiles happily at the compliments about her son as if they are directed towards herself.
"Xie baby, what do you think of my Xiao Hua?"
Being asked so bluntly, Xie lian blushes and says flusteredly, "i-i also love him....very much"
Mrs Xie claps her hands, "that settles it, why don't y'all tie the knott next wee-"
She's cut off by Mr Xie as he drags her away, saying to Xie lian and Hua Cheng before leaving, "Take your time thinking about these things kids, take your time to explore first, don't listen to her...."
Xie lian and Hua Cheng stare at the old couples' disappearing backs, pausing for a few seconds then both chuckles.
Hua Cheng rests his head in his palm, "I did miss your enthusiastic parents"
Xie lian places his hand on top of his and looks at him smilingly, "they're your parents too"
Hua Cheng looks at his fingers for a few seconds then says, let's go to your room.
Back in the familiar yet unfamiliar place; tutoring sessions were conducted in here, homeworks were solved from here, hugs were hugged from here, most importantly, the parting was in here as well, its a place of comfort and pain for Xie lian as well, whenever he comes here...it always feels like yesterday that Hua Cheng left. That's why he always avoids coming in this room after Hua Cheng left, he wanted to live elsewhere to forget about him a bit.
But......he doesn't have to do that anymore.
Hua Cheng makes his way to Xie lian's Teenage desk and beckons to him.
Xie lian goes over to him and sits on his laps like sitting on a bench. Then he snuggles close to him.
Hua Cheng wraps his arms around him and starts playing with his fingers.
"Do you want to get engaged first? As for marriage, we can do that later, we're still young, let's explore first, there are a lot of places I'd love to go with you to see"
Xie lian tilts his head up from Hua cheng's arms and looks up at him, sitting up a bit to look at him, looking at him quietly, he thens leans in and smooches Hua Cheng's lips.
"I was wondering when you'd ask"
