Running through the deserted road, which was eerily quiet and nearly dead due to the torrential rain and angry thunderstorm, still she didn't stop running through the pebbled, hard piece of earth's surface, which was covered in mud and dirt from the rainy water.

She was least disturbed by her pricey white sneakers getting drenched. She moved to the direction of the chilly wind, which caused her to scrunch up her nose in agony and anticipation. However, the pain in her heart did not completely subside. She desired to numb her mental suffering by suffering bodily harm. She spent her entire life spinning yarns about emotional agony that gave her a sense of escape but still wasn't able to grasp it.

She stops at her steps when she notices the location where she feels more at home and at ease with herself than she does in her own home. She went ahead until she reached the bench in the side of the theme park, flower park, grinning while still having the salty fluid in her eyes and the cold rains running down her flushed cheeks on the chilly evening.

Sincerely recalling the previous time she had been happier, she grinned while looking away. She smiled as she remembered herself in the past and as her life had been, but ultimately the grin faded and was replaced by quiet, heart-wrenching sobbing.

She was trying to suppress the sound emerging from her throat, not to draw any notice from outside influences. She sat there quietly for a while as she thought back on the memories she had pledged to preserve until the day she was no longer a part of the world. She made the promise to her mother as well, and she is now carrying it out.

She can still hear her mother's voice saying, "My cute baby, tell me one thing," even if the image of her mother is becoming more and more hazy in her mind. Nevertheless, she is glad that she can still hear her voice in her recollections, as if it were there in her ears. "Yes mama.. " The mother questioned her, beaming broadly, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Her mother overheard her saying "I want to be kind" to which, her mother asked once again "kind? why?" as she pondered before speaking it.

"A little bit like you, mama. Like you, I hope to be. Like how you are beautiful, how you enjoy singing and drawing, and how you take care of me and my papa," she said with a smile while her mother caressed her head in admiration. "And mama," the little figure said, "I want you always with me." "Yes, little flower, I promise I'll be here always with my little one," she replied, smiling once more at the memory of earlier times, tears still streaming down her face.

"You broke your vow, eomma, and you abandoned me in that house. I feel as though I no longer belong there. I am no longer motivated to live." She sobbed out softly, "I'm being the doll they are controlling like the way they want." She cried, without making any noise. Quiet cries hurt more than loud screams do. That's when her cell phone rang, and she was startled out of her reverie and her voice abruptly halted.

She takes it out of her jeans pocket and reads, "appa." She heaves out, "Hello," and starts to breathe deeply because her lungs are running low on oxygen. Before she could say anything else, the other person responded, "Come home immediately." She was left contemplating whether to do as they requested or risk by breaking her pledge to her mother, who is her closest loved one. Before she could contemplate whether to answer positively or in another way, the call was already disconnected from the other side.

She stood up while walking on shaky legs that had grown numb from the intensity of her feelings. She slowly left the garden in an attempt to find a ride home, but she was unable to even find one. It's possible that the weather service has issued a no-go for everyone. She sighed when she realised she would have to walk back home.

She stopped walking when the light turned red, however. But since there was nobody around and she needed to get home quickly, she made the decision to break one rule for today. She entered the crosswalk without giving it any more thought and almost completely missed the speeding automobile coming her way. Not long after she became aware of it, she remained still after experiencing a sudden, paralysing freeze. She closed her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her as if she could stop the automobile with them. She did this every time, accepting her fate.

But to her amazement, the automobile suddenly halted, stopping less than five inches away from her, as she peered inside, chewing her bottom lips in expectation of receiving a lecture by the driver. She didn't move, but she flinched as soon as the tall, muscular man exited the car and slammed the door shut, causing a loud thud. As the man got closer to her, she hunched her shoulders in terror, knowing it's her fault not theirs and they were surely going to scold her.

She closed her eyes, anticipating a reprimand for her immaturity. Instead, a warm hand reached out to shake her slightly and cause her to glance at him, who had a worried expression on his face. Even though the mask was covering half of his face, she can still make it out. "Are you okay? Did I injure you in any way? He murmured, "Let's go to the hospital, it's surely close by." he insisted once again.

She gave him a long, thoughtful look as she wondered how a total stranger could still care about her welfare even in the name of literal humanity, but her family could not. They could not even consider her since she was a member of their bloodline. As she shook her head in denial, she sighed and said, "Not really, sir; I'm perfectly fine."

"Anyway, I'm sorry for violating the law by crossing the road" she said, bowing her head in apology. He inquired again, moving a little closer and causing the girl to retreat. "Are you sure? I can give you a lift to your home if you want," he said this time. But to his surprise, she sprinted away, saying, "No no, it's all right, take care, sir," leaving the man's silhouette in the dark and perplexed. He shrugged as he murmured to himself, "She's weird. " He then got in his car and sped off.

In the thick of it, she went the opposite route and ordered a cab for herself. She hastily exited the taxi after paying for it, hurried towards the strong-standing mansion's main entrance, virtually giving the impression that it is daytime rather than dawn when illuminating with bright light. She silently entered after opening the two doors wide because she didn't want any of them to notice her. She shut it, turned around, and entered the living room. She walked further, until the hoarse voice of male tinged in her ears.

The man she had feared her entire life was standing there. She continued to walk close to him while fidgeting with her fingers, but she eventually decided to cross in front of him because she was done talking to him. " Y/N...." She pauses as he asks, "Where were you?" She uttered "I... in the park" hesitantly, sounding almost like a mummer as she gazed at the ground before gathering the strength to look into his eyes and seeing hatred there.

Looking into the hate-filled eyes that once contained love and protection hurts so much. " Ugh! Anyway, I need you to be in the dining room in under ten minutes."he spoke before going on the steps and getting lost in the lengthy hallway.
