The day her father ousted her mother from their home, she sobbed uncontrollably till she went to sleep . She wasn't aware that her father had given her drugs to make her forget the memories for that brief period of time when the incident took place. And when she awoke, she had no recollection of her mother's mis-treatment with the hands of her father.
As the days passed into weeks, months, and finally years, she was tired of being told the falsehood that her mother had left with her lover after repeatedly cheating on her father . But never in her life did she hold those unfounded presumptions to be true. since she was aware of her mother's behaviour. She was just eight at the time, but was old enough to comprehend her mother.
If it weren't for her father's actions and his changing treatment of her day by day, she wouldn't have doubted her father's intentions. It continued to get worse. She didn't understand why her father, who had always cherished her and treated her like a princess, had suddenly begun acting rashly towards her until another lady entered their home as his father's second wife, along with her mother or stepmother. And to her amazement, it was the woman she considers her aunt, someone she considers to be a reliable person, but it never materialised.
After a few days had passed by, they unexpectedly heard of her mother's passing. Even she, albeit for a shorter time, observed her father grieving alone. When he begins to ignore her, she is left in complete despair. She yearned for her parents' love as a child, but she was never given it. One of them was deceased, while the other was preoccupied with his business or second family, which included his second wife and stepdaughter.
For a while, her stepmother treated her well, paying close attention to every word she spoke when describing how much she missed her mother. However, when she started high school, things began to turn worse. And the first terrifying episode occurred when she excelled academically and her stepsister did not. Yes, they were in the same class and at the same age.
After her step sister complained to her mother about how she couldn't finish first in the class and ended up second since Y/N had surpassed her in this, the mother was displeased. And her mother did something dreadful that she had never dreamed, possible out of the pent-up rage she had been holding in her heart for years. With her father absent since he was out of town, her mother kept her imprisoned inside the rundown room for over two days without providing food or drink.
And today, when she despises her, it was justified. Parents should never treat their children in such a manner. The statement that every child deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a child was true. She had been mistreated to the point where she began to fear her own father, her stepmother, and her sister, who was just two days older than her. She despised them since they were responsible for forming the person she is today. She is terrified of everything and everyone, believing that they might harm her in the same way that her family did.
She was never permitted to leave the house when her sister did. She was never permitted to spend money, even if she was in dire Need, when her sister did. She was never permitted to interact with people since her father discouraged it on the grounds that she may act in a similar manner as her mother. When they used her mother's actions in such a way, it was hurtful. She was so certain that when they claimed her mother was a cheater, it wasn't true. She was never permitted to accompany her father to business meetings, even if the other two members were.
And it was at that point that she made the decision to study hard, perform well on her exams, and devote herself to getting a job despite the fact that she knew she would never be able to escape her father, who would pursue her even if she were hundreds of metres beneath the ocean. Her father wasn't willing to offer her the tranquil life she desired, nor would he allow her to flee from it. Why? Naturally, society. What if people judge him as being so weak? claiming that he was incapable of handling his daughter.
However, every event has a hidden meaning that we are unaware of, therefore it would be wise if we continued to be grateful that it occurred for our future betterment. And now that she's gathered here with the other pupils, she can sense it. She immersed herself in her studies following the announcement of Jungkook or the director of their university. giving it her all to seize the window of opportunity. And today she did; getting selected in the group. After the exam, they were requested to visit the arena for more information.
After the day, when she revealed to Jake that she was getting married, he didn't spend much time there and went without saying anything else. Knowing that Jake doesn't listen, she found it surprising. Though, She dismissed it, as not really bothering her, and turned her attention to something else that was more important.
"Good afternoon, students," the principal greeted the pupils, and they all enthusiastically reacted. Soon after, everyone takes notice of the other man's lean build and youthful appearance in comparison to the principle. "And I assume you're all familiar with him?" They all cocked their heads in response to his query. "Mr. Jeon is here to get your signatures, which are essential for the deal. Everyone did well. Please arrive one at a time as we are about to take your signatures." He concludes his brief remarks.
Everyone began to queue, including Y/N, but she was the last person in the queue, which didn't bother her. She was so preoccupied with the situation that she failed to notice Jungkook approaching from behind her, gently breathing while keeping his hand in his pocket. She was unaware of everything until his hot breath touched her in the back, forcing her to look back at once. When she turned around, she was startled by the sudden closeness and jerked back, almost colliding with one of her male classmates. However, that didn't happen since Jungkook grabbed her elbow and pulled her towards him, disrupting her momentum and causing her to crash into his chest.
"Be careful Miss Y/N, I'm not always near to catch you when you fall." He nearly immediately says, As the unwelcome goosebumps and chills spread throughout her body, the body hair began to electrify with a burning sensation. Her heart is throbbing in her rib cage, almost as if it were ready to rip it apart.
Almost as if she were praying, it was now her turn to work on after the student who came before her finished completing the paperwork. And she did, breaking free of his grip as she made a quick getaway towards the table where the principal was sitting. Despite the fact that she was shaking due to the earlier events. She is very certain that she has not yet moved on. Her fingers shook as she signed the documents, but she was able to escape the situation.
She has observed how Jungkook has been close by, keeping a close eye on her with his sharp eyes, almost as if he adhered to her every move until she had finished with the papers. Eventually the principal got to his feet, folded all the documents, kept them in a file, and approached everyone to continue speaking.
"Everyone, it's all done. As we will be departing tomorrow and staying there for approximately two weeks, I advise you all to go home immediately and begin packing. As you won't be able to rest properly there, I suggest you get some rest. And Mr. Jeon will be joining us for the inspection, yeah. He had instructed me to let you know everything. Dismiss," he says, and then exits, as the students and Y/N followed him behind, but she was stopped by a hold on her wrist.
When she turned back to reply, she was met by Jungkook's piercing doe eyes. "Yes?" She softly questioned. He stared at her for a while, perhaps wondering why he had even reached out to her, but however eventually uttered,"let's meet at the camp, Miss Y/N."
