"Jungkook." Her words came out dry and broken.

"Yes.. tell me." Jungkook said quietly, peering further into her eyes. Gulping down the tightness in her throat, she said, "I'm hungry." He pauses, unable to say anything further.

Was this all she had to say? Unaware that the rain was not only washing away that moment, but also her tears, as she chose to bow her head down to avoid him.

"What?" His mouth widened as his hands dropped alongside him, and he withdrew himself from holding her.

"Stop turning the subject around." He spoke with his head tilted and she could feel his gaze through his lashes. "I didn't." She shivered as the chill against her body increased with time.

"YOU DID. You just did." She shook her head again, and took hesitant steps away from him. And he was well aware of her tendency to flee from situations she couldn't face in solitude.

"Stop running away from me Y/n." His gaze fell on her faltering one. "I am not running away from you." Her voice was barely above a whisper.

She took a step back again, but Jungkook was too fast for her hand.

"You always do. Break this wall now, Y/n. Or at least allow me to cross the line. Do not be afraid of it." His remarks conveyed desperation. Yes, he was desperate. Desperate for her.

"What are you talking about, Jungkook?" He sighed warmly in response to her question. "You very well know what I'm talking about." He peered down at her, or rather glared at her.

"No I don't know-" "Fuck it." Within a blink of an eye, she felt his lips shoved against her in an intense attempt for proximity.

For a brief moment, she clutched his suit for support as her body stumbled behind. It didn't take him long to secure his arms around her.

His lips pressed on her like if they had missed each other for a decade or so and she felt herself gasping but didn't bother pulling away.

When her senses returned, she put her hands around his neck and tiptoed to acquire a better reach.

He drew out, his eyes searching her face for signs of denial, but he found none.

"I might be a gentleman enough to ask you for permission to kiss you but I would rather decide not to." He spoke, gently touching her face.

"Tell me Y/N. Tell me everything in that sweet little head of yours." He pauses, his thumb massaging the swelling mess of her mouth.

"Never hide from me," his eyes finally halted as they came across hers. "Please." Vulnerability... The emotion he despised the most. But now what? He is vulnerable. Only for her.

Her lips quivered, and he realised the streams of warmth he felt on her face were her tears. "Don't...Just don't." He whispered, wiping away his anguish.
