"Good morning, Y/n" Maria smiled, waking her up. As she was already awake, she grinned while checking her phone to see if she had received any phone calls or texts from Jungkook, who was out of Seoul for a business conference, and it had been nearly twenty days. She misses him, and perhaps he misses her, because he would always call her at night, asking if she was okay and where she was, and listening to her rants.
But, to her dismay, it's been three days and she hasn't received a call from him. When she did contact him, it was answered by his assistant, who said Jungkook was too busy to eat or sleep. So worried that he was playing with her, she purposefully became enraged with him, not because he isn't talking to her, but because he isn't taking care of himself. But, once again, she is aware of how important his work is to him, but she is unable to conceal her concerns.
She continued to call him virtually every day, day and night, but when her calls went unanswered, she stopped. And she's upset and she told herself she wouldn't talk to him when he returns. Her work at the hospital is becoming increasingly difficult, but with Nein by her side, she can conquer any mountain without difficulty or despair. She represents her soul energy.
What about Maria? She is the worker hired by Jungkook since he did not want Y/n to be alone when he is not present. Maria is a 45-year-old woman with two children at home, so she would leave in the afternoon after she finished her work and chores. She's a very kind woman with a motherly demeanour who has always taken care of her. She's a fantastic companion for her.
But when night fell, she was alone in this huge ass mansion, with no sign of humanity around her. She is terrified of loneliness and the dark. And she's been having that strange sensation of being watched and hearing sounds whenever she walks back home from the hospital late at night. Maybe it was all for nothing, or maybe she's paranoid.
"I'm going to leave Maria." "Take care," she said as she grabbed her purse and dashed out the door, still wearing her shoes, to the hospital. The bus stop is a ten-minute walk away, and she does not bother hiring a cab.
There was no bus as she approached the bus stop, possibly because she was early. So she sat on the bench, which was warmed by the source of power. She sighed and looked around, her gaze meeting with the one sitting beside her.
She felt anxiety crawling inside her heart for unexplained causes, and she shifted in her seat. With the black outfit and mask covering his face, the man seemed oddly mysterious, but she could see the bruise above his left brow.
When her eyes met his, she shivered to her core; there was something she couldn't divulge at the time, but it made her form wobbly, and the feeling of being watched returned to her. She hesitated to get up even after seeing the bus halt at the bus stop, but she forced herself to. As she enters the bus, she notices him sitting there, reclining back and staring at her for a long time, and she feels scared.
When she arrived at the hospital, she raced straight to the staff room, where she was engulfed by Nein as soon as she noticed her pale face and tears in her eyes. "What happened to you, little pie?" Nein urged, rubbing her back in a soothing manner as she finally sobbed, her emotions breaking forth. She was unusually depressed after the incident, and Jungkook was not returning her calls. She saw it as him attempting to dodge and ignore her objective, despite the fact that he was really occupied back there with his office work.
