"Please eat something, Y/N" The elderly voice chirped through the closed door of your warm, dark chamber, "You haven't eaten since yesterday" She was currently sleeping after receiving unfavourable treatment from her parents, who did not even contemplate speaking to her after being enraged even if she were to die from starvation or ignorance.

She whimpers, "Omma, I don't want to," in a morning raspy voice from crying and wailing, unconscious to her family. She wasn't useless; rather, she was hurt. All of the cruel remarks set off a chain reaction in her that caused her to cry uncontrollably until she felt her eyes finally close temporarily into a deep sleep.

"I'm coming inside, my child," the elderly woman stated, addressing the person of whom she has been looking after during her entire life. With the sound of a door opening and closing, the caretaker, Mrs. Oh, entered the room  before setting the meal on the nightstand next to the unmade bed where the woman is sleeping.

She stands up so she will not have to make the elder wait any longer. After Mrs. Oh opened the closed curtain of the large glass window, she was still scanning the area in an attempt to capture the broad sunlight. She wrinkles her nose up in annoyance at external lights and tries to acclimatise to the light by rubbing her small fist over her eyes, and eventually she succeeds.

She gave the woman a brief grin before wriggling out of her disorganised bed and greeting her a good morning. She hurried inside the washroom, calling out, "Sit here, Oma, I'm coming after brushing my teeth," and tripping over objects in her path but managing to stay balanced. Her eomma laughed as she noticed how excited and clumsy she was in the morning, as she always is.

Mrs. Oh made her bed after organising the study table and unorganised bookcase in the interim. "Omma, I'm here and I'm so, so hungry." She sat down on the bed and said, taking the food tray with her. Mrs Oh watched her eat with satisfaction Knowing how much of a good person she was.

She never failed to be grateful for anything she was given. After recalling something from her boss, she waits for a moment, as she made the decision to provide her the information she was instructed to give , by Mr. Lee, Y/N's father, knowing it is important and she should not forget it.

"Your father has told me to make you ready; he said you are going to meet someone, along with them." She stated as she folded her freshly-washed clothing inside her wardrobe, Hearing the news made Y/N grimace because she didn't want to meet her father's purported high class business partner. She still despises it to this day.

"Meeting? With whom? In order to avoid becoming more confused, she inquired once again. "Your soon-to-be in-laws" She pauses the spoonful of food in the middle after hearing . She was aware that her father would always act rashly while doing the desired action. She stopped resisting and simply nodded. "When?" She appeared frail. She continued, "today's evening and for this, Mrs. Lee has urged you not to attend college for today only."

"What! Why, though, Oma?" She inquired hastily "I have to go today because I have finished filling in some crucial documents. Help me , please. I don't want to ruin this opportunity. Help me, and if possible, could you collect mom's and appa's signatures?" She stood up, sprinted to the desk, pulled a stack of papers from the drawer, and forwarded them to Mrs. Oh, saying, "On this. This is really important."

"Calm down, my child. I get it, okay. I'll gain their consent while you get ready and take a shower, then I'll persuade them that you'll return in time for dinner. She pushed her inside the washroom and ordered, "Go now" Y/N grinned, knowing Mrs Oh is really going to help her in it.

The entire day passes quickly, from leaving for college to handing in the application to finally immersing herself in study at the library while completely forgetting about the dinner at some restaurant. She was alone herself, but that didn't worry her because she preferred solitude to noise and crowds. But the calm of being by herself was broken by the buzzing of her cell phone.

She retrieves it from her tote bag and checks the screen as the word "appa" appears on its plain surface. Recalling the almost forgotten dinner date with her parents, she trembles in fear. She was aware that she would soon receive another reprimand. Chose to grab it nonetheless, as she was well aware of what would happen if she rejected it.

"Hello-" her voice gets caught in the middle of her throat, when she hears her father shouting on the other side of the queue, which startled her for a moment. "Get here in the restaurant as soon as possible; regardless of telling you not to go to college today, you did say you would be responsible. Is this how you carry out your duties? Useless! Come here whenever you are, right now." And before she could respond, he hung up by finishing the sentence.

She quickly rose from her seat, gathered her belongings, and left the library in less than five minutes. She made the decision to reserve a cab for the day as she walked towards the bus stop since she knew the bus she wanted would not be there for her at the same moment.

She waits for a few minutes before the cab pulls up, and when it does, she tells the driver her destination and gets inside. She was restless, so the drive went quickly. She quickly arrives at the location, pays the driver, and then dashes for the main entrance.

"Oh my God, Y/N, you're here at least. Your father was about to kill me when you were late" Mrs Oh remarked,Taking the tote bag out of her hands and dragging her to the bedroom. "Omma, I'm really sorry for being inconvenient. I completely forgot it while studying. I'm really sorry for whatever appa told you before" she spoke.

The guilt still lingering in her small voice caused Mrs. Oh to shake her head as she replied, ". It's okay, my child; now go get ready; your dress is already ready. I will tell the driver to get ready and drive you there as soon as you finish" she finally finishes and closes the door before She may have then left to speak with the driver.

After dressing in the maroon off-shoulder dress that her mother had chosen for her, she swiftly put her cell phone inside her small handbag as she exited her room. As soon as she enters the floor, Mrs. Oh gets her inside the vehicle and instructs the driver to travel as quickly and safely to the given location as possible.

She could feel her heartbeat accelerating as the car moved faster, as if it would explode as soon as she arrived on the scene. "How would the meeting be with them, her in-laws, and him?" she wondered. When the car stopped abruptly by pulling on the brakes, she considered stopping all of the unnecessary thoughts. As the driver pulls over and stops in the parking lot. She grabs the door knob, opening it, and steps outside .

She let out a smile after taking a long breath of fresh air into her restless self. Her smile was lovely on her face, which was only minimally developed with some eyeliner, lipstick, and concealer. Even though the smile isn't visible to her ear, it nevertheless complements her face. She moves carefully, still feeling a little anxious, in order to meet new people, particularly her future in-laws, who she is yet to know. She grips her purse tighter with her perspirant hand as her level of fear increases.

She moved over the restaurant's tiled floor, which uttered nothing but expanse. Her uneasiness only grew as a result of hearing the clicking sound made by her low heels. Soon she was unaware that her head was bowed and her eyes were focused on the ground. She was still moving, that's when she hit somebody and stopped, ready to fall backward and possibly break some bones as she did so.

But it never happened. When she opened her eyes to find the familiar brown eyes peering down at her while she was still partially in his grasp, as though if he let go, she might fall or perhaps wobble her head and wound it.

"Tsk," he says chuckling, while nodding his head slightly from left to right a bit, "I think this is your way of meeting people—by bumping into them on the street?"
