Few days remain until the camp, and as usual, Jungkook is too busy to remember that Mrs. Jeon asked him to pick Y/N up from her university so that they could go bridal shopping together.
He had already agreed to this request, but due to the overwhelming amount of work and projects he had been assigned, he almost forgot about it. It was then that his mother called him during the middle of his meeting. He apologises and offers to pick her up as soon as he finishes his office work.
After calling the meeting to a conclusion and ordering his secretary to reschedule all of his upcoming meetings, which she did, he rushed up. After all, he dashed through the corridor before rushing to the porch, where his vehicle was waiting for him.
He instructed his driver to go to her university quickly. He is capable of driving, but he would much rather have a driver as he would become exhausted after a ten-hour workday and be unable to do so while experiencing a severe headache. It was, in fact, his mother's suggestion to ensure his security.
"Oh sh*t," Jungkook muttered under his breath, as the car suddenly jerks to one side and came to a stop in a skid, nearly sending him crashing into the back of the front seat. He took a deep breath, before opening his eyes and looking at the driver, who appeared more agitated than afraid.
"What happened" he shouted and almost startled the driver.He doesn't like to yell at his staff, but the thought of hitting someone with his car made him fear the worst. "I'm not sure, sir. This old lady arrived unexpectedly, and there's not even a red light" with a trembling voice, he replies.
"God? What are you waiting for? Let's go and look it over" he said as he got out of the car and the driver followed him. They hurried along the uneven route and looked down when they saw the elderly woman sitting there after the little accident and reaching for something.
He kept a sharp eye on the road and finally saw a pair of spectacles beside her, as he ran to pick them up because it was just out of her reach, while the driver assisted the elderly woman in getting to know so she could see better.
"Possibly you're hurt, ma'am. We apologise for this" said Jungkook before bowing respectfully in front of her. He is a man of morality, he would never let this matter slide without expressing regret for his error—which wasn't even really his.
When he looked up, the elderly woman was laughing with a little smile on her face, instead of shouting at him as he had anticipated.
"Don't worry, son. Even you are not to blame. It was my mistake. I'm colour blind, so I didn't see the green light as it was." She remarked.
The driver handed her the tote bag she was carrying before picking it up From the group. She grabbed it, which contained orange, and Jungkook also noticed it. He was a little disappointed that the elderly woman had no one with her to assist her in this.
"Would it be okay if I drove you to your destination? Take it as an apology, ma'am," Jungkook said. "Yes, it would be a great help to my child," she said nothing except making him smile. He assisted her in sliding into the backseat by guiding her there.
He then did the same and sat in the front. He instructed his driver to go more slowly this time. As soon as the woman gave her address, they began to drive.
When he gets there, he raises an eyebrow. It was more like an orphanage than a residence. He asked again to be sure because he was unsure if the lady had given them the wrong address.
"Are you certain this is where you intended to go? Ma'am, it's an orphanage." "I work here, son. Thank you for your help" she said, and stepped out with Jungkook's assistance, out of the vehicle.
"Have a good day" Jungkook wishes the elderly woman before turning around and walking away. As he boards the vehicle, he tells the driver that he wants to reach college as soon as possible.
And this time, the vehicle sped through the major route that was just partially occupied more carefully. And they can see the enormous University gate within approximately thirty minutes. Security checks them, before allowing them inside.
As he got out of the car and told the driver to wait until he returned back, he received a call that he initially thought was from his mother who sounded slightly mad.
He picked it up and tried to calm her down by stating he was in the university, when she mentioned that she learned he hadn't truly gotten Y/N yet. He hung up. Before moving through the crowd to avoid bumping into anyone unintentionally.
Before he could walk any further, he noticed the group of students forming a circle and laughing and shouting as if there were a show going on. As he observed something so unorganised, he was curious to find out what was wrong. His height, which was more than likely everyone else there, made it much easier for him to manoeuvre through the crowd.
As he approached the front, he could see a pair of students in the centre, the boy resting on his knees and the girl standing in front of him with her back to him. He was very certain of what was taking place. Knowing this, he made the decision to leave the pointless mess alone and began walking away.
"Be my girlfriend" He shook his head and kept walking, but he could hear the youngster confessing, "Please be my girlfriend Lee Y/N," he heard for the second time, and stopped.
Perhaps he might have misheard something. He might have been dreaming. But when he quickly turned himself one eighty degrees to look back at the couple, his thoughts changed. He was able to properly identify the female after moving a little closer to them.
"Why would you want to reject me Y/N when I'm obviously the one for you? You will never find someone who will get on his knees for you like me. We'll make sure to provide you with anything you ask for, including my life and I. Will you go out on a date with me?" When the boy asked, Jungkook involuntarily clenched his jaw out of anger—even though he didn't know why—because he obviously didn't want to marry the girl he was watching getting proposed to in front of him.
"Will you?" When the boy, who just so happened to be Jack, repeated his question, that was the last straw for him to lose all his patience and strode over to them, grabbing Y/N softly by her arm before pulling her to him, he then shot glared at the boy.
