"Namsoo, namsoo hear me out first, please don't do this" the woman yelled as loudly as she could, Even though she begged and sobbed to stop her enraged husband from shoving her out the front door and away, he either chose to ignore her because he was misled or didn't want to face the unpleasant truth.
"Has anything else regarding this remained to be discussed, Haru? I gave everything I had to you and to us, but what do I get? Nothing but betrayal from the only source of support I've ever known. I never imagined you would put me to this. Tell me, while doing this, didn't you even think of me and Y/N? She was there to inform me about the sins you have been doing behind my back, or I would have never known what you were doing until now," he yelled, still salty water streaming from the brim of his eye line as he pointed his index towards the other woman present to witness the scene with.
The second woman watched as the once-happy family was swiftly decimated while remaining still in her place. Surprisingly, she showed no sign of sympathy for the family and instead experienced contentment and peace, realising her long-sought goal. When Haru turned to face her, she noticed a tiny hint of evilness that the woman had been unable to conceal under her pretended innocence.
"Are you trusting this woman over your wife Namsoo? I'm not the one to lie here, she's the one. She's the one who is manipulative, she's the one to bring us here, she's the one to destroy our family, she's the one homewrecker-" "stop, JUST STOP IT. she's not anything of this, she's the person who gave me shoulder to cry on when you were out with other man-"
"What time did I do it? I was always taking care of that tiny child, to whom you never gave the attention a father should, and I was never outside. Tell me one thing, please. Is she?" Haru asked, pointing at the woman who was now staring at her as if she were about to murder her. "Is she someone who would intervene in our affairs? Why is she here? Please Let her out immediately. The first time she yelled, the person before her became further upset to the point where he grabbed her shoulder so violently that his nail dug into her skin and caused a burning feeling. She whimpers and pushes his hand away as she can feel the liquid fluid seeping out of her skin.
"Get out immediately; leave my home and my life; I and my daughter do not need you. I've had enough of your bullshit." The man replied, bringing Haru closer to the front door, but as they get closer, they stop when they hear a delightful little voice. The voice sounded drowsy, so the small person must have just woken up, perhaps because of the event going below while she was sleeping upstairs.
"Mommy, daddy." She called out again, but when they refused to stop, she decided to make a run with her expectedly shorter legs than her parents. She chirps, but stops as she sees her mother being dragged out of the home by her father. But as soon as she leaves her home, she witnesses her father shoving her mother so hard that she fell and scraped her elbow on the driveway's tile. She runs up to her mother, seated next to her, and smothers and kisses the injured elbow as if doing so will make it well.
But soon, the woman she refers to as her aunty quickly took her away from her mother. She tries to wriggle out of her grasp so that she can go to her mother, but that never happens. However, when her father once more pushed her mother outside the main gate, she wept and begged, but the woman's aggressive hold on her would not let go. "Mama, mama" She sobbed, "Leave me aunty, let me go to mommy," and she sobbed even harder as she sensed her mother leave her line of sight.
"Mamaa..." "Y/N, Y/N WAKE UP," When she hears muffled voices calling out, she opens her eyes right away, breathing profoundly as she feels her mouth drying out and her nightgown adhering to her body from profuse sweating. Perhaps as a result of the terrible nightmare she has experienced so frequently for so long.
"Here" Mrs Oh handed her a glass of water, as she sat straight, taking it in her palm, sipping a bit of it to calm her down her aching throat. The lump, which was formed a long time ago, finally went down. "Did you get the nightmare again my child" Mrs Oh asked, caressing her head, to calm her down, which basically did.
"Omma.." She uttered, as she turned to face Mrs. Oh, her eyes welling with tears and her lips quivering. "What do I do? I don't want it to happen constantly." Mrs. Oh sat there comforting her as best she could as she heard her sobs. Finally, she said, "Calm down Y/N, everything will be better."
They sat there for sometime, before they got disturbed by the unexpected presence she didn't want. She watched the person who had interrupted their solitude as she lingered there for a while as the door to her room creaked open and she entered without asking first.
"Get out of bed, you lazy ass! your soon-to-be in-laws will visit us with some purpose. Mom is asking me to wake you up while you're sleeping here" she yelled, slamming the door behind her as she left.
She is Y/N's step-sister, Naomi. They don't get along and they don't quarrel, which shows how unimportant their relationship is. They simply take care of their own affairs without making amends. They are old enough to comprehend the concept of step-siblings.
Mrs. Oh asks Y/N to get ready so that she can meet her soon-to-be in-laws before walking away and closing the door. Yes, she did consent to it, but not because she wanted to; rather, she did so out of a lack of ability to oppose her father, whether out of fear of him or respect for him.
She sat there recalling her final conversation with Jungkook, which took place the night before their parents asked them to make a decision. After their conversation, they went inside. At that point, Jungkook remained silent, refusing to either confirm or deny. But when they asked her, she simply requested that they ask her father first because whatever choice he makes, so does her's.
She recalled his piercing gaze on her until she left the restaurant and was sitting in the car. Even still, he didn't take his eyes off of her until their cars began to move in different directions.
