"We have to go for funding those orphanages and child care centres according to today's schedule, sir." Jungkook listened to what his secretary was saying, nodded, and gave him permission to depart, which he did. It has been over a week since they got married and then left together. Well- not specifically together, but apart.
When Jungkook asked if she wanted to settle in a different room, she accepted because it would be more comfortable for them. And for him, he has no idea what the future holds for them, but he is grateful to God that they are not sleeping in the same bed and are not using the same bathroom for the time being. To him, it would have been too tough and unpleasant.
It is the morning when he returns to his office after nearly five days in Seoul. He assisted her in establishing her room during these days. Carrying all the stuff around, even after her denial. They ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner together, but there was no longer any interaction between them, except for those.
He really wanted to avoid her, aware of his materialistic foolish feeling that had never existed in him developing additional times, which he did not want to be precise about. He knew that falling in love with her would destroy him and his objectives. They are based on a contract, and he wanted it to be a contract because he doesn't want to become attached to her knowing that it has no future.
But will he be able to? Is he able to avoid her? Can he keep her heart eyes at bay? Can he keep her heavenly grin at bay? Can he evade the bambi eyes looking down upon him? Is he capable of hurting her? Is he able to avoid her? Can he avoid how happy she becomes with the simplest necessities? Even while crying, can he avoid the fact that she is stunning, with the messy tear stained face with swollen eyes and reddish nose? Can he keep his heart from fluttering whenever he hears her enchanting laughter while playing with bam? Straight to the point. No!
Sure, he ignored her, but he can still feel her presence around the house despite it's only been a week. He used to sit in front of the television just to watch her play with the bam. What irony! She spends the most of his time with bam rather than him, which has him frowning like a highschooler. Sure, he didn't look at her when she was blabbering her heart out, but he never got up and left her behind. But, at this moment, he is purposefully ignoring her. He's angry, angry at himself, and tired as a result of how good she was.
"Ugh!" He groans, pulling out his spectacles and running his hand through his hair, which were starting to anger him, or he was angry by himself for not getting control of his mind and thinking about her carelessly even at his office. There was never a cause who could distract him from performing his work, so as he thinks more, he becomes more frustrated.
He got up from his chair and decided to continue with his work. He had to attend a charity event in place of Mrs. Jeon, who was occupied with something else, because she had asked him to go there for a donation she had been doing for several years. "Dongsik," he said over the phone to his secretary, urging him to settle every meeting after midday. He left his office after hanging up the phone to attend the function.

"How about I tell you? That you were chosen?" Nein drew her to the notice board and requested her to show her the results of the campus selection exams they attended a few days before. The results have been out for three days, but she is late as she has to deal with the problem. But Nein was well aware of it. "I'd be the happiest Nini," she said, her face glowing as they approached the large board, and Nein searched through it. "Here it is, I told you right," she remarked, pointing to the exact location where her name was printed in bold font.
"Really?" She questioned, her body calm and unbothered, pushing Nein to ask whether she was unhappy or experiencing any troubles. "Are you all right?" Are you not happy with it-" but Nein was cut off as she said, "no way, I'm happy, I've worked hard enough for it. I'm overjoyed. Just that I won't be with you any longer." Uttering, her eyes filled with dissatisfaction and sadness of being apart from the only human she can rely on, trust, be happy with, and laugh with.
"My gosh! Y/n. It'll never happen. When we die, I'll be chasing you all the way to hell." Nein almost yelled, dramatically hitting her head on the wall, while Y/n yanked her off the wall so she wouldn't be wounded. "I'll pass the next time and come to you as soon as possible; after all, you're not leaving the country. You're simply switching jobs and workplaces. We can meet and chat, hang out and watch films whenever you want. I'm only a phone call away. Comeon! Relax, little child."
Nein consoles her like a child, wiping the tears from her cheeks. She was her little sister, considering the fact that she was three years her senior. She has never seen her weep since the day they became friends over a decade ago. She would do everything for her friend, knowing how badly her family has always treated her. It was not empathy; it was simply love and friendship. The genuine thing. "Come on, now! "We're going to be late," She exclaimed as she dragged Y/n to class.

"Greetings, everyone. I'm Karlson Wang, the event's host. Thank you to everyone who has joined us in helping those children..." Jungkook sat bored, he never wanted to sit there and listen to the meaningless blabbering of people giving speeches, it always sucks. He only wanted to donate the cash his mother had requested him to and go back to work, but he couldn't because the people there were acting a little more genuine to practically force him to stay, so she simply chose to stay for ten minutes and leave as soon as possible.
"And finally, The Jeon's," the presenter concludes, as the spherical spot light continues to fall over his head, causing him to squint as the light becomes noticeably stronger than planned. "In particular, thank you to them. "Because of them, we've been more consistent in helping out," he says, while receiving no compensation from Jungkook. He doesn't even crack a smile as he stares blankly into space. "We have prepared an appreciation gift for you, which we hope you will accept."
He was escorted to the platform, and he despised it to the core; he despised being the centre of attention, despised being scrutinised and judged. But that never shakes his confidence; he's the polar opposite of extroverted; he's reluctant to engage with new people, but he needs to because of his professional life.
"Mr. Jeon?" He turned to face her when he heard an elderly voice, bewildered since he had met her somewhere before but couldn't remember when or where. As the lady smiled and extended her hand for a shake, he gratefully accepted "Jeon Jungkook."
