A ticking bomb waiting to explode

'PAH!'

A loud, slapping sound echoed inside the room, followed by a loud thud. Tang Ling had fallen on the floor, her lower lip slightly bleeding. She stared in disbelief at her husband. No words would be able to describe the shock and sadness that wrapped around her heart. Li Jung Wang , the man that Tang Ling had loved, hurt her. He raised his hand and hurt her without having any second thoughts. The man did not even flinch or close his eyes.

"Stop the melodrama." He uttered after a few seconds of silence. His voice, distant as if he was talking to a subordinate instead of his own wife. "My birthday will be this Monday. I want you to apologize to Rosella by then. Beg or even kneel in front of her if that is what she would demand. I want her to attend my birthday dinner."

"Wang... How could I? How could I kneel?" Tang Ling asked before she tried her best to stand up using the couch as support. "How could you let me, your wife, beg to someone like her?"

"It was not a request." Li Jung Wang said, his jaw clenched as he shoved his hands into his pocket. He then walked towards his office table and took a seat. "Jihyo is in labor. Go make yourself look decent and go to the hospital to support her."

"Wang... I..." Tang Ling did not continue her words when she saw the disinterest in her husband's eyes. She pursed her lips and gathered all the courage that she had before she continued, "I will not beg that woman to attend your birthday dinner." She said in one go. Roseanne was the one responsible for all this embarrassment. How could she lowered herself down to her level? Though what happened tonight might not reach the public's eye because of the absence of media reporters on the event, Tang Ling's image within the socialite circle is already ruined. And this was all because of Roseanne!

How could she kneel in front of the woman who ruined her?

"Seems that you don't get it, do you?" Li Jung Wang said his gaze on the photo frame of their family on his table. "Everything that you have right now was given by me. Without me, you will be no one. The Tang Family that you were so proud of is gone now along with it is your has-been status as their young miss." He then turned his gaze towards her. "Since I married you, I knew everything that you did behind my back except for what you did to Rosella years ago. Every scheme and humiliation that the mother and daughter pair suffered. I was aware. But I let it happen as it was your business to manage my household."

Seeing Tang Lingyun's face started to pale, he continued, "You knew about Rosella being Roseanne Anne for a long time now. You and your daughter also know that I might change my opinion after this event so you asked me to make your son the CEO. To make him the heir of Li Industries before I find out Roseanne's new identity."

"Still, I commend you for being so brave to scheme against your own husband." He added as a sinister smile started to creep up on his face. "You see? I know everything and I could easily use this for a divorce. Tell me, Tang Ling, what do you think will happen once we divorce?"

"Go and fix yourself." Li Jung Wang ignored Tang Ling. "Your daughter is at the hospital, she needs you right now.Stop thinking too highly of yourself, Tang Ling. You are nothing without the Tang Family and you will be nothing without me. So you better shut up and follow everything that I say, or I can easily replace your son as the CEO and leave you in the streets with nothing."

"You- You are so cruel Wang..." Tang Ling's voice faltered. She wanted to ask the man if he ever had any affection for her and their children. But the coldness in his eyes is already enough to answer her questions. All along, this man had treated her good because of the benefits that he could get from the Tang Family. Now that the Tang Family is gone, his warmth towards her also disappeared.

Meanwhile at the hospital,

"Do you think our grandchild will be fine?" Yang Lina asked. Though her face is still composed, she could not deny the fact that she was very nervous. When she saw that Kang Zeng had a blank expression, Yang Lina asked, "What's wrong?"

"Does Roseanne Park know about the accident?" Kang Zeng asked, his expression grave.

"She doesn't. I can assure you that she cannot trace it back to us." Yang Lina answered.

"And Tian?"

"He is on his way out of the city. He will go to Mainland China and take shelter in one of the Yang Family's compounds." Yang Lina answered.

"That woman knows something about us. We need to deal with her as soon as possible." Kang Zeng said. "I cannot compromise my current position. A single scandal would destroy the reputation that I have built over the years."

"I understand." Yang Lina nodded. "But with Park Jimin's backing, it will be hard to take Roseanne down."

"I have my ways. I'm sure her father will agree with me on this."

"Li Jung Wang?" Yang Lina raised an eyebrow. Kang Zeng is planning to useLi Jung Wang? However, now that she thought about Li Jung Wang's greedy nature, Yang Lina also agreed with her husband's conclusion. "What about Jihyo?" she asked.

"What about her?" Kang Zeng countered. "A divorce is going to affect our family's name. The best that you could do is send her to somewhere so she could not cause any trouble anymore."

"Daniel will not agree on this." Yang Lina stared at the operating room, her tone calm.

"I know. But it is your job to convince him. That woman is like a ticking bomb waiting to explode."

"Hmmm... Maybe Jihyo will change after she sees her child. Let's see." Yang Lina said before she furrowed her brows at the person who was coming towards them. She immediately rose from her seat and said, "You are not supposed to be here."

"Why can't I? My daughter is giving birth. I am here to take care of her." Tang Ling immediately said. After what Li Jung Wang did, she does not have any more energy to deal with Yang Lina and the Kang Family today.

"She is already a part of the Kang Family. You do not have the right to be here." She said sternly. Every elite family already knew that Tang Ling was a scheming person.

"She is my daughter and I am here to support her! You cannot change that fact!" Tang Ling hissed, irritation apparent in her eyes. Yang Lina was also a mother; how could she do this to her?

To her surprise, Yang Lina did not argue. Instead, she took her phone out of her bag and dialed someone. "Are you outside? Come and have the security personnel accompany you. I want you to drag someone out of this hospital."

"You-" Tang Ling's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. "How could you do this to me!?"

"Lina... let her stay." Kang Zeng's voice interrupted all the things that Tang Ling wanted to say. "She has the right to be here. Order your men to secure this area, instead." He said, a cunning glint flashed in his eyes. Out of all the people who hated Roseanne, Tang Ling is the easiest to manipulate. Would he really let a person like this go without using her stupidity against their common enemy?
