Instead of giving an answer, Lia, Roseanne, and even Secretary Han looked at each other before looking at her, their gazes filled with unmasked ridicule.

"I'm sorry Miss Yang, but are you kidding me?" Lia asked. "Your six months worth of salary is just equal to my monthly salary, ah. How are you going to convince me like this?"

Yang Lina instantly froze. Monthly salary? Then she remembered that Roseanne's company was from Europe, meaning she would use a different standard for her employee's salary. Yang Lina's neck started to turn red when she realized this fact. Roseanne must be laughing at her inwardly for what she said. She eyed Roseanne before shifting her gaze towards Lia.

The latter was looking at her like the clown that she'd been. How dare an illegitimate child mock her like this? Yang Lina's ego seemed to explode as she thought about the ridicule that she'd experienced in less than an hour. "Yang Lia..." Yang Lina took a deep breath as she pursed her lips and stared at Lia intently. "Your father is my older brother Yang Sen, who works with the military. He has a lot of enemies who are looking for a weakness that they can exploit. Now I know that you feel secure with Roseanne here, but how about your mother and sister?"

Just as Roseanne expected, Yang Lina resorted to using Lia's mother and sister to scare her. Good thing that Park Jimin acted quickly and had already made sure that Lia's mother and sister left Seoul and went to Japan where Park Jimin's network was even greater than the one in South Korea. Aside from this, Park Jimin also arranged for Lia's mother to be treated in Japan.

Now that Roseanne thought about it, she also found her husband a bit devious. First, he made sure to secure Lia's mother and sister, but if one were to look at it closely, Park Jimin's 'kind gesture' would assure that Lia would never betray Roseanne. With her mother and sister under Park Jimin's care, Lia would never do anything that would align with the Yang Family's goals.

It was a bit vicious but Roseanne knew that Park Jimin was just doing this for her, so who was she to complain?

Seeing Lia and everyone fall silent at her words, Yang Lina thought that they were just surprised. "Here is my card. I will give you four hours to think about it. I expect to see you this afternoon at the gates of the Kang Family's estate," she said as she put her calling card on Lia's bed. Her words should be enough to scare Lia. After all, Yang Lina knew how dearly Lia valued her mother. She then turned her back on the trio and started walking towards the door.

"I think Miss Yang got it wrong," Lia said after a few seconds. "I am not coming with you. I am not the person that you are looking for. Leave now."

Yang Lina's steps halted when she heard Lia's words. She then slowly turned her head towards Lia and then on to Roseanne, who had a beautiful smirk plastered on her face. It did not take too long for Yang Lina to realize that Roseanne must have something to do with Lia's refusal.

She narrowed her eyes at Roseanne as Roseanne raised an eyebrow at her, a silent declaration of challenge issued to Yang Lina. Silence enveloped the whole room as the two continued to stare at each other.

"Good. Very Good," Yang Lina said as she withdrew her gaze and looked at Lia. "Do you think Roseanne could protect you from your father's enemies?"

"I do not think. I simply know," Lia answered, unfazed by Yang Lina's domineering personality. How could this simple intimidation scare Lia, who had been working with Roseanne for so many years? This... Yang Lina's gesture and actions would be considered mediocre when compared to Roseanne's ways!

"Very well, I hope you will not regret this decision," she said before storming out of the room.

"That woman sure is crazy," Secretary Han stated after Yang Lina left.

"Too bad she met someone crazier than her," Roseanne added. "Once she discovers that your mother and sister are not at their residence, she will realize that I am already ahead of her. She will have to try to explain herself to her brother. By then, I will release the information that I have on her and her husband," Roseanne explained.

"Madam... If you don't mind, what is this information? Is it really capable of ruining a family such as the Kang's and the Yang's?" Secretary Han asked, curiosity apparent in his eyes. This would be the first time that he would see Roseanne in action, ah. He was just very interested to know who is more ruthless between the husband and wife.

What if the madam is more ruthless? Wouldn't that mean that President Park will get bullied? This...

"Curiosity killed the cat," Lia said while rolling her eyes. "Don't give me that look Han Jisung! I know what you are thinking! Why do you think your President will be the one to get bullied? My President is so small compared to your President! How will she bully him?"

Secretary Han stared at Lia, his eyes wide from shock. How did this scary woman know what he was thinking? "What are you saying?! I was just asking a question, ah."

"I know what you are thinking! Stop lying."

"I was not lying! I was just curious! Plus, my President is a very kind man. He would not bully your President!" he countered. This Yang Lia is crazy. He immediately made a mental note to stay away from this woman or else he might accidentally strangle her.

"What kind man? Hmph! I know everything about your President! He is not kind at all!"

"What are you talking about? What do you have against President Park? How could you say that he is not kind? He even made sure to keep your mother and sister safe. Ah, this woman does not know gratitude at all."

"You are the one who does not know gratitude. I have been here since yesterday, taking care of you and you did not even thank me. I even changed your clothes for you, ah."

"You did what?!" Secretary Han quickly examined his clothing. When he realized that he was wearing a hospital gown, his face instantly turned into a scowl. "You- How could a woman agree to change a man's clothes? What a shameless woman!"

The duo was so engrossed in their argument that they did not notice Park Jimin's arrival.

"What a brilliant cupid. Are you a cupid of love or a cupid of death?" Roseanne asked the moment Park Jimin leaned in for a kiss. If they leave Lia and Secretary Han alone for another night, who knows who would end up dead between these two?
