"President," Cathy's voice woke her up from her own thoughts. Roseanne quickly turned off the video and looked at Cathy.

"Yes?"

"Mr. and Mrs. Li are downstairs insisting upon seeing you. They also brought their son, Mr. Li Yeonjun along. They said it is a very urgent matter."

"And?" she raised an eyebrow at Cathy.

"I naturally declined them the opportunity to see you," Cathy give her a knowing smile. "But Mr. Li said that they are willing to wait until you are available so they can talk to you."

"Good. Tell them I won't be available at all today as I have a date with my husband tonight. Ask them to focus and concentrate on saving their company first," she said in a cold tone. For some reason, memories of what she and her mother had been through in the Li Estate seemed to resurface in her mind.

Aug. 1st, Monday

FC Group Tower

"Was it you? Did you release it?" Daniel's question was the first thing that welcomed Roseanne after she left her office and descended in the lift. Kang Daniel seemed to have been waiting on the ground floor in the parking lot of the building. "Answer me Roseanne! Are you responsible for shaming my parents?"

"Master Kang," Roseanne said as she gestured for Cathy and Bambam to walk ahead of them. "Your father already said that it was his enemies who did it. Why are you here, barking like a dog?"

"Roseanne! How could you be so vicious? I remember that you asked my father about escorts after your launch! I know this is another one of your evil schemes." Daniel was unfazed. Deep inside he already knew that Roseanne was the one responsible for what happened, but he still came here to talk to her. To be honest, Daniel's didn't have any idea what he was doing here either. All he knew was that he wanted to talk to Roseanne.

"I heard that my sister already gave birth?" Roseanne ignored Daniel's question as she started walking towards her car. "Congratulations, Master Kang. I wish you all the best in your married life."

"Roseanne... tell me, what do you want? Why do you want to destroy my family? I don't remember that they were involved in what happened to you years ago! It was Tang Ling! Why are you punishing my parents too?" he asked while trying to catch up to Roseanne.

"True," Roseanne answered.

True? What true? "Roseanne I want you to stop this! If you want to punish those who hurt you then start with your mother-in-law! Why are you involving my parents?! If you have the guts, then try and get your revenge on me too! Don't involve other innocent people in your game!" Daniel's words made Roseanne stop in her tracks. She then turned her head towards him.

"Innocent?" she asked with a little smile on her lips. "Your mother hired some people to attack me. Is that what innocent people do?"

"What are you talking about? Why would she hire someone to hurt you?"

"Why don't you ask her?" Roseanne countered. "After all, it was you whom she wanted to protect." Roseanne continued to walk towards her car that is now a few steps away from her.

"Roseanne, this must be a misunderstanding. My mother would not hurt someone! She might be fierce and a little strict, but she is not the kind of person who would hurt another person."

"Fool," Roseanne scoffed as she watched Bambam open the car door for her. She then turned her gaze towards Daniel and smiled.

"Master Kang... if you think that your mother is innocent, then you clearly don't know her," she said. "Since you have become the CEO of your company, it has been your mother who's been using any means necessary to pave the way to your success. Don't you ever wonder why you've never met with a single setback since you started? It was because your mother had been doing all sorts of dirty things behind your back to protect you, her precious little boy."

"You-"

"Yes, Master Kang... it is me. I am the one doing all this. Now... what can you do about it?" Roseanne asked as she lifted an eyebrow at him in disdain. "Since you started with your career you've never failed in a negotiation, nor has anyone ever turned down your offer. Did you think you were really that brilliant?" Seeing his face turn ugly, Roseanne continued, "And you dare challenge me to try my best to take revenge on you? You are wildly overconfident, Master Kang."

Roseanne then entered the car and Bambam immediately closed the door behind her, then he boarded the car with Roseanne and Cathy. However, before he could start the car, Roseanne opened the window and gave the frozen Daniel another smile.

"Don't get too excited, Master Kang. I am coming after you soon," she said, then she immediately closed the window and commanded Bambam to drive her home.

Meanwhile, Daniel just stood there frozen as he watched Roseanne's car drive away from him. He then clenched his jaws and shoved his hands into his pockets. Did Roseanne think that he was dumb? All along Daniel was aware that his mother was the one cleaning up everything and making sure that he would not encounter any trouble in his business. He knows that the woman behind his success is his mother. He knows everything, yet he never once confronted Yang Lina.

Daniel knows how much his mother loves him. He knows that all she ever wanted was to give him the best, and to be honest he did not see anything wrong with that. He is not dumb and he is sure that he will still survive in the business world, even without the support of his mother.

However, to hear Roseanne belittle him like this was extremely infuriating. It was as if Roseanne had stuck a knife in his pride and was laughing at his misery.

With this in mind, Daniel dialed a number on his phone. "Jihyo? Hey... I want you to call Father Li. Tell him that I will buy all the stocks that Park Capital sold. Yes, my lawyer will call him later." He immediately ended the call after achieving his goal,.then he looked in the direction that Roseanne's car had taken.

Does Roseanne really think that she is that formidable? Daniel knew that what Park Jimin did to the Li Industries was because of Roseanne. The man must have been extremely smitten with his wife to let her convince him to sell his shares for such a low price. Daniel immediately scoffed at his own thoughts. Park Jimin was an idiot for losing profits over some petty revenge.

Originally, Daniel did not plan on buying anything from the Li Industries. After all, he knew that the current state of the Li industries was extremely pitiful. However, after Roseanne mocked him earlier, he felt that he needed to prove himself to Roseanne. True, his mother helped him achieve everything, but this didn't mean he is incapable of managing a company!
