Perfect pawn

Li Resident.

After the dinner, Tang Ling told the father and daughter that she would get some fresh air. She wanted to give Jihyo the time to talk to Li Jung Wang about Li Yeonjun's situation.

Tang Ling let out a sigh as her eyes were attracted to the abstract painting in front of her. She could only hope that Jihyo could convince Li Jung Wang.

"Are you planning to do something about Roseanne Anne anytime soon?" Tang Ling's heart almost jumped out of her chest when she heard a voice behind her. She instantly turned and was somewhat surprised to see Yang Lina.

"I... You surprised me. I did not even notice that you were standing behind me." Tang Ling stroked her chest and smiled at Yang Lina, who was wearing a black dress, making her look even more... terrifying.

"I think Roseanne Anne is planning something against the Li Family." Yang Lina went straight to the point. Her goal tonight was straightforward, and she did not want to waste her time talking to someone as stupid as Tang Ling.

"Where did you hear this from?" Tang Ling furrowed her brows. Would Roseanne target the Li Family?

"If I was Roseanne Anne, that is what I would do," Yang Lina answered, her gaze glued to the painting in front of them. "And I would do it during that launch. In front of many people." She slowly turned her head towards Tang Ling. To Yang Lina, Tang Ling was the perfect pawn. And in her vocabulary, pawns were always meant to be played and manipulated to do one's bidding.

"I..." Yang Lina's heavy words were actually making Tang Ling speechless. But she did not even bother to ask for Yang Lina's source of information. The only thing she seemed to register in her mind was to prevent Roseanne Anne from hurting her family.

Seeing Tang Ling's expression, Yang Lina knew that her goal had already been achieved. Yang Lina smiled at the woman next to her. "I was just about to visit Jihyo, but seeing her serious expression while talking to her father made me decide to come back in the morning to check on her."

"Oh." She nodded.

"Well then Ling, I will go ahead and have dinner with my husband. I wish you all the luck." She smiled before turning around and walking towards the exit. All she needed to do now was watch from the sidelines as Tang Ling acted against Roseanne at the Launch.

July 23, Saturday - FG Towers

"President, these are the documents that need your signature," Lia said, gently placing a bunch of folders on Roseanne's table. She also placed three small boxes in front of Roseanne. "As instructed, these are the giveaways for the launch. The ballpoint pen is made of platinum with our logo, and the crystal snowball's weight has been corrected. All invitations have been sent, and the special guests have already confirmed their attendance. A briefing for the staff will be held a day before the launch, and this is the program list that you wanted to see this morning."

Lia gave Roseanne a small bow before she stood a few steps away from her, so that she could examine everything now. Though this was a trivial matter, Roseanne still wanted to supervise everything. From the weight of the giveaways to the angle of the decorations, President Li had her own preference. She wanted to ensure that everything about the event would be perfect.

Of course, Lia was already used to Roseanne's ways.

"Alright. I will call you if I need something," Roseanne said, her eyes on the stack of papers in front of her.

"President, Mr. Li from Li Industries has been calling us since yesterday. He demands to talk to you," Lia said in a low voice.

"Hmmm. Let him be. He will get tired of calling soon," Roseanne answered. "Do we have any news on the Li Industries?"
