Stir the grass and startle the snake

The nurse paled even more when she heard Roseanne's intimidating words. Sakura told her that Roseanne was just some random girl that the boss had picked up and that without Boss Park around, she wouldn't have the guts to act all high and mighty. So what was this situation about now?

"I will go to Park Jimin now and take care of him," she declared before turning to the two men who stayed behind Secretary Han. "Don't let that woman leave. Make sure to interrogate her properly and find out who asked her to detain me," she ordered coldly. Since the nurse had the intention to detain her, Roseanne thought that someone might be after Park Jimin's life. Or why else would they want her to stay away from him?

"Han Jisung, bring me to him."

Secretary Han immediately led the way. When they returned to the resort earlier, they were brought to a different villa than the one Roseanne and Park Jimin stayed in the first night. This villa was located deep inside the resort, away from the other commercial villas. This villa was designed like a traditional Japanese house, with sliding doors and papered walls. Roseanne guessed that this should be the place where Park Jimin stayed before he left Japan.

The villa was very beautiful but Roseanne didn't have the mind to appreciate anything right now as her heart was full of worry. She believed that the attack tonight must be from his enemies. Roseanne turned her head to address Secretary Han, "I want you to get your men to secure this villa. There should be a record of everyone who enters and leaves the house - their names, time and purpose of the visit." She made a deliberate pause. "How is his condition right now?" she asked.

"President Park is stable. He had a blood transfusion and now we just have to wait for him to wake up," Secretary Han answered. "Miss Lilian, if you don't mind me asking, why do we have to keep a physical record of everyone who enter and leave the villa? We have CCTVs all around the villa..."

"Someone wanted Park Jimin's life." What Roseanne said made Secretary Han widened his eyes.

"Miss Lilian... I-"

"What happened tonight was not an accident. Someone is trying to harm him. However, I don't want you to stir the grass and startle the snake. For now, just say this is all part of the new security protocol. It's easy to cheat the CCTVs anyway," she explained.

Secretary Han nodded in agreement. Inwardly, he was celebrating ah. Miss Lilian really cared for the President. He really could not wait to report these things to President Park once he is awake.

After a few more turns, they finally arrived in front of Park Jimin's room. Secretary Han slide the door open and immediately frowned at the scene in front of him.

Besides the doctor, the Ito siblings were also here. Sakura was crying dramatically as she listened to the doctor's words, like a dutiful wife.

"Who gave you the right to update them President Park's current condition?" Secretary Han asked in a cold tone. Knowing that there were others in the room, Roseanne had remained outside and did not enter the room with Secretary Han as she wanted to observe how the situation in the room would play out.

"Mr. Han... I," the doctor stuttered. "Mr. Riku had been around Mr. Park for years so I thought..."

"You are wrong. Mr. Park is a very private person. He wouldn't want his doctor to casually divulge his medical records to others. As a doctor, you should understand the importance of patient confidentiality. Not forgetting that you have been working under President Park for years, you should have known better."

"My brother grew up with Mr. Park. I don't see anything wrong with the doctor sharing these information with us," Sakura said in between her sobs. "We are just really concerned about Mr. Park."

"Moreover, I am also here to take care of Mr. Park personally, so it is only right for me to know these things," she added while dabbing her handkerchief on her swollen eyes.

"Take care of Mr. Park personally? Who the fuck give you the permission of it? " Roseanne's voice broke the tension in the room. She walked into the room and stood next to Secretary Han with a smile on her face. "I think I must have heard wrongly. Can you repeat yourself Miss Ito?"

An obvious shock flashed in Sakura's eyes but she quickly regained her composure. However, the subtle changes in Sakura's expression didn't escape the watchful eyes of Secretary Han and Roseanne.

But before Sakura could answer, the doctor immediately butted in, "Miss Roseanne, why are you here? Didn't my nurse tell you that you need to be in bed for two days?"

"Excuse me... but do I know you?" Roseanne asked, ignoring the Ito siblings as she approached Park Jimin's bed. "If you are done here, please leave now."

"Miss Roseanne!" the doctor approached her. "I clearly said..."

"You are done here. Park Jimin is in stable condition. You can leave now," she interrupted the doctor.

"Miss Roseanne, I think you should return to your room to rest. It would be best to listen to the doctor's advice." Sakura said meekly. "The doctor is only thinking about your welfare. Don't worry, I will take care of Mr. Park..."

"I thought I was clear. Don't you understand what the word 'leave' means?" Roseanne smiled provocatively at Sakura. Her face was calm and serene but the provocation in her tone was obvious. "My fiancé is not in any serious danger and is currently sleeping. Too much noise will wake him up."

When Roseanne said 'fiancé', Secretary Han's ears immediately perked up as a wide smile spread across his face. Fiancé? Was he hearing things? Could it be that President Park is actually already at the last stage? He was so engrossed in his own thoughts that he failed to react properly to the current situation in front of him.

"Miss Roseanne... Mr. Park's immune system is currently weak and he needs the most delicate care. How are you able to care for Mr. Park properly when you are wounded yourself? What if you also infect him? Instead of helping him, you might even bring him harm," Sakura reasoned, unfazed by Roseanne. Though, she could not understand how Roseanne managed to escape her room, Sakura was adamant on staying and there was no room for the two of them here.

To her surprise, not a single crack was seen on Roseanne's face. She looked at Sakura in the eye before she said, "Thank you for your kind offer Miss Ito, I did not know that you like my fiancé that way."

"But I'm sure he would be happier if I am the one taking care of him, his fiancée and not some stranger," she added before turning her gaze towards Park Jimin's face, her eyes full of gentleness. "He's been devoted to me alone for the past fifteen years. I'm sure just seeing me alone would make him feel better already. Don't you think so too?"
