Has it been a month? Two or three months even? I don't remember. I don't count days anymore. Things have changed a lot. Because of Aruna and Mazmur.

They were all gossiping about their being together more and more often. In the class. Canteen. Parking lot. Mall. Book store. Like the world was shared only between them.

I wasn't jealous for their relationship. It's not even important. What matters to me the most is that I was no longer the main topic in every conversation. People kept asking me for clarification about what was really going on between them. Whether they had a crush on each other. How they managed to be that close.

And I'm telling you, it's not the only problem. Here comes another trigger. It was all traced back to the day Miss Intan gave an announcement. Next month, there will be an English debate competition, held by the Center for Language Studies. A team from our study program has been expected to participate and the lecturers are about to hold some kind of selection to choose three students from the first and second year.

Come on. They don't even have to do any kind of selection. I am more than ready to go for the challenge. But you know, instead of supporting me, my friends somehow encourage Aruna to apply for the competition. Are they blind of my capacity? My ability to defend arguments? They shouldn't doubt me. Yet it's her whom everybody recommends to the lecturers. As clear as crystal, my envy started to be apparent.
