True Love.

We were on our way back home listening to music. We spent the remainder of the day visiting the Grand Rapids Giffins practice. I had a phenomenal time honestly.

"Okay so we get back to your place, me and Gus will definitely come to the game tomorrow and then on the 24th we'll be on our way home." Petr said.

"Do you guys really have to go so soon? Like stay have fun with us, go to games." I said. I didn't want them to go. We became really good friends these passed few weeks, it sucks they have to go so soon.

"Yeah Kels I know. We'll miss you girls too but hey it's off season. We do have plans. We'll all hang out and go to the beach soon though. But until then I am going to spend some time at home with my dog." Gus said. I mean I get it, they work away from home for months on end with barely any breaks. They all bought houses and apartments in Detroit for that reason specifically.

"Ugh I know and I know you guys do have families and shit yourself. Off season is such a boring time for me." I said honestly. It really is. Like last year I just sat around irritated cause hockey wasn't on.

"Speaking of off season. What are you and the captain doing?" Gus said smirking. No one really knew about our plans except Ruby, Patrick and our families of course.

"Well I'm going back with him to Winnipeg for a couple weeks then we're going to come back here and spend time actually being a normal couple and going on double dates with Pat and Ruby after they get home from Buffalo and then all four of us are going to spend a couple weeks in Detroit for the Fourth of July with mine and Ruby's families and then after that I don't know. We should be back in Chicago mid-July so we'll see how it goes ya know?" I said. I'm so excited for this summer. I just want hockey season to be over with to be honest but hopefully my baby wins the Stanley Cup. It'll make the whole thought of spending the off season together happier.

"So wait. You're going to meet the parents?" Petr said.

"Yeah, well I mean we started dating in December and then got back together in February. If they win this round we won't be going till easily late June if they don't win we'll be going like mid-June considering all of the packing, planning and post season interviews you guys all have to go through. So what that's 5 months that we're together. I think that's a good time to meet his parents and he'll be meeting mine after our 6 months." I stated. I was honestly really excited to meet his family. He's told me so much about his family I'm just so excited.

"So this is serious. Like both you and Ruby you guys are really in love with these guys huh?" Gus said.

"Yeah. I mean I can speak for myself when I say if Patrick were to propose right now I'd say yes. He's the love of my life. How could I try and deny something like that?" Ruby said. It makes my heart beyond happy that my best friend is in love like that.

We finally made it back home at about 6 pm and the guys were all at Jonathan's apartment so we decided to go there after taking everything home and after getting freshened up. I decided on wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and my white and black aztec t-shirt with my red vans to add some color. I kept my hair straight and didn't put on any make up.

"Kelsey you look like you're ready to just hang out and go shopping to be honest." Gus said chuckling.

"It's okay if I got uncomfortable Jonathan and an abundance of sweat pants and t-shirts I can steal against his choice. We got in the car and drove to Jonathan's.

"Hey bitches! The parties here!" Ruby yelled walking into the apartment and this is why I had a key and not her.

"Hey babe!" I said walking up to Jonathan and giving him a hug and a kiss. I went around the room and hugged everyone else. A lot of the guys were here like Sharpy, Shaw, Hossa, Hjalmarsson , Bickell, Riemsdyk and Kruger. Trevor was the last one to give me a hug but instead he decided to pull me into the other room.

"Kelsey I need help." He said. Trevor is one of the guys I'm most comfortable with hanging out with simply because he's closer to my age. Being 21 and your boyfriend being 27 you need friends who are around that age with you too.

"What's up Trev?" I said sitting down on the bed of the guest bedroom he pulled me into. I still remember when me and Ruby came here for Christmas and her and Patrick stayed in here that is until I caught Jonathan cheating.

"Okay there's this girl. I like her a lot, she goes to the same college as Ruby does that's how I met her. One day when I went to go meet Ruby up at the school to go get coffee I ran into her. Kels, she had no idea who I was and that was the best part! She flirted with me simply cause she was attracted to Trevor. Not Trevor Van Riemsdyk the hockey player. But that makes me nervous as hell to ask her out and it also means she's not a hockey fan..." Trevor said. I mean I get it can be hard if she weren't a hockey fan because of the fact that she's not a fan of the sport that's your passion which is upsetting.

"Trevor shut the fuck up. You are Trevor Van Riemsdyk! You are hot as hell and athletic as fuck. You can get bitches whenever and where ever you want and this girl is no different. She doesn't like hockey? You make her love hockey. What I'm trying to say is, take a chance." I must say I highly enjoy my motivation speeches.

"Is that what you did with Jonathan?" He asked seriously.

"Trev listen, I was a 20 year old girl from Detroit who's obsessed with hockey who got her dream assignment at work. I can't lie and say I played it cool cause I didn't at all. I was a nervous wreck but I still made them think I knew what I was doing. How would you feel celebrity you had a huge crush on was basically your assignment at work? But I didn't legitimately start to fall for him until I was sitting in the hospital and he refused to leave my side even though it was just a broken ankle." It was nice looking back on times like that. Moments when it hit me just how much I loved Jonathan. I didn't realize it before but I am in love with Jonathan. He honestly is the love of my life.

"Alright Kelsey. I'll do it. I'm going to ask her out." Trevor said smiling. I gave him a hug and we walked back into the living room to sit with the others. I sat on Jonathan's lap and gave him a kiss.

"What was that for? Not that I'm complaining." He joked.

"It's just cause I love you." I said looking at him.

"I love you too Kels." He said before giving me another kiss.
