"Calm it on the theatrics, that's Dionysus's job."

Kronos rolled his eyes before motioning toward the path to the castle. "Off you go — and remember; Don't get seen by anyone that will know you in the future."

"I know. This isn't my first time doing this, remember?"

"Get going."

I scoffed before jogging up to the building, searching for a room that didn't have someone in it. After locating a room, I continued forward, letting the shadows engulf me. I stepped out of the darkness and into a dimly lit room — the moon light being the only light source for the room. 'Wait... I've seen this room before...' My eyes drifted to the corner of the room between the head of the bead and the window, noticing the slashes on the wall. 'This blood is fresh... So this was the day that lady Dimitrescu lost control and almost killed Adina — why did she never have the room repaired? It's been a lifetime — literally.'

After shaking the thought away, I turned my head toward the bed, noticing the unconscious woman. 'This must be Adina,' I squeezed my eyes as an intense burning sensation washed over them. 'The fates don't want me to look at her soul... So I do know her in the future?' My body tensed when I heard heels clicking on the hardwood floor, making me pry my eyes open. Darkness enveloped me before a pained scream could leave me — ensuring no one in the castle heard me.

"What's wrong?! What happened?!" A muffled and distorted voice called, my vision blurry and spinning as I tried to focus on the mass that was helping me sit up. "Isa?!"

The figure shifted as if it were looking around before I was lifted into the figures arms. "I need to get you out of here..."

"Hey! Eyes open," The figure scolded when I shut my eyes, making me jump and try to focus again. "...You weren't supposed to see whatever you saw... This isn't good..."

'Who... Is this? Why is... Why is he so worried about me?'

"Okay," I was moved onto a bed — my surroundings now dark with the occasional light from a large flickering flame somewhere. "Now to get you home..."

"Where... am I?" I finally managed, my voice sounding weak.

"Tartarus — but I'll get you home soon."

"Who... are you?"

"...Family," The figure returned, letting me lock eyes with soft, golden eyes. "You're still disoriented — once that clears up, you'll be back to normal."

POV: First Person

"Isa's been gone a while," Lady Dimitrescu commented, sending a curious glance Hunters way.

"...Yeah..." The witch muttered, glancing at the door. "They have been gone a while..."

"Was this not in the plan?"

Hunter shook her head before Isa stepped into the room, a hand on their head and sunglasses over their eyes. "...You look like shit."

"Yeah," Isa sighed, taking a seat next to lady Cassandra. "I got good news and bad news."

"Bad news first," Lady Dimitrescu hummed, taking a final sip from her cup before setting it down.

"I'm temporarily blind."

The room fell silent, causing them to remove their sunglasses. Their hazel eyes were now a pale pink — a sign that their eyes were red when whatever blinded them happened. Isa cleared their throat and shifted uncomfortably in their seat, feeling everyone's eyes on them.

"Good news; I can still point out who Adina was reincarnated as."

"What?!" Lady Dimitrescu sat up a bit straighter, her eyes filling with hope for a moment. "You can?! She-she chose rebirth?"

"She did — and she's here. In the castle."

"...Don't tell me who she is," The lady requested, a small smile taking over her face. "I want to figure it out — but I know the girls will want to know."

"I understand, my lady."

"How... How are you going to get around?" I asked softly, watching as their head turned toward my direction a bit more.

"Well, I'm not completely blind — it's more like the shadow realm, except everything around you is just a shade or two darker. But, also, Sköll doubles as a service hound, so I can use her to help me walk around whenever I really need help. The cost of trying to defy the fates. A small price to pay compared to what they can do."

"We're just glad you came back alive," Lady Dimitrescu hummed. "Now, let's all go to bed."

Morning

I woke to Daniela's grip on my body disappearing, making me send her a small glare as she stretched. When she froze, however, I shifted and followed her line of sight, noticing her mother speaking with a maid. The maid was probably around five feet and nine inches, and she held a smile as she spoke with the lady, a cart of food in the doorway separating the two. Daniela slowly laid next to me again, her arms wrapping around my waist.

We watched the two in silence — taking notice of how the maid seemed to blush and giggle at whatever the lady was saying. Daniela placed a gentle kiss on my head, grabbing my attention. She sent me a smile before stealing a kiss, a silent giggle leaving her. 'I'm gonna make her make up for all of these stolen kisses one day.' I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway, moving closer to her. 'It's a good thing I like the cold, otherwise I would hate cuddling with Dani — and that just wouldn't be allowed. She's adorable when she pouts, so I'd cave easily if she ever pouted while asking to cuddle, even if I hated being cold.'

"What's your name?" The lady asked, gaining mine and Daniela's attention again.

"Adina, my lady. I was named after an old family friend."

"...It's a lovely name."

"Thank you, my lady. Oh! It seems the others are waking up now."

Lady Dimitrescu glanced back, making me send her a nervous smile. "It would seem so... Well, come on in."

The two made their way over to the bed as the others began to wake, allowing me to relax for a moment. 'She doesn't know we were listening in... Right?' Once everyone was awake and sat up, the maid — Adina — began setting our plates on a table near the fireplace, turning to us and bowing when she finished. 'She seems nice and efficient. Isa should be able to tell us if this is actually her.'

My gaze shifted over to Isa — who had stopped rubbing the sleep from their eyes. Their head slowly turned to the direction of Adina before they stopped again, confusion washing over their face before they flopped onto their back. 'They probably just remembered that they're temporarily blind... Must be confusing.' I watched as they tugged on lady Cassandra's dress to get her attention, nodding in the direction of Adina. Lady Cassandra glanced over at the rest of us and did the same, causing Daniela and I to share a look.

'So, that is Adina... I wonder how she managed to get named after herself though.'
