"Auntie loves you! Had to help!"

"I'm glad you did," I giggled, placing a kiss on his cheek.

"Hey! Where's my kiss!" Daniela pouted.

"No, Auntie! My kiss!"

"...He's stealing my fiancé?!"

"My Auntie," Costin huffed, moving Daniela's face away from me. "No kith. Kith..."

"Breathe," Daniela whispered and cupped his cheeks. "Try again."

"Ki... Kiss."

"You did it!"

"I got it," He giggled as I set him down. "Auntie's allowed to kiss [N/N]."

Daniela laughed before pecking my lips. "Thank you for the permission, Costin."

After that, everyone left — Isa telling Daniela and me to follow them to show me the other rings. I let Isa grab my arm to help them walk, giggling when their tail also wrapped around my arm. 'Yeah, good to see you too,' A smile spread across my face as we walked, Daniela walking on Isa's other side to make sure they didn't bump into anything.

"How's the healing process? Any progress?" Daniela asked once we were deeper into the castle.

"A little," Isa hummed. "But it's more like when I first astral projected. Everything's a mix of blurred colors — honestly, it hurts to open my eyes still, but Apollo and Hekate told Hunter it'll help me."

"So she and Cassandra have been making you keep them open."

"It's not as bad as it seems — I get pampered and it gives me an excuse to force Cass to cuddle me. I need to take breaks, so I need something cold to help cool down my eyes."

"And cuddling her helps?"

"Like a dream," Isa laughed as we neared their room. "Dresser — top left drawer. They should be right there when you open it."

"I'll get them," Daniela let go of Isa after we entered their room, heading to the dresser.

"What healing process are you doing?" I asked after helping them sit on their bed.

"Hunter brews a potion twice a day — once in the morning, and another at night — and gives it to Cassandra. She pours it into a cloth and places it over my shut eyes. After that, in the morning, I'm given eye drops — not your average ones, obviously. At night, however, that process is reversed. I get the eye drops first, then we do the cloth. Why do you ask?"

"Just curious," I giggled and watched Daniela return to us. "You seriously made four rings in total?"

"She wanted the perfect ring for you! Who am I to stand in the way of love?"

"Cass asked you to be cooperative, didn't she?"

"It was for her baby sister," Isa pouted.

"We're triplets!" Daniela huffed, making Isa and me giggle. "You're both mean."

"You asked me to marry you."

"She has a point."

"Don't team up on me!"

"What? Can't handle your selectively mute fiancé and temporarily blind sibling-in-law?" Isa teased with a smirk.

"I'm going to kick your ass."

"I'm blind!"

"As if losing one or more of your senses has ever stopped you from fighting before."

"...Touché."

Daniela giggled before opening the boxes, letting me view the rings. "Here they are!"

"Dani..." I breathed in shock, feeling Isa's grip tighten slightly. "These are gorgeous too — Isa, you've outdone yourself."

"Ah, it was nothin'," Isa giggled, their veins beginning to glow. "Don't mention it."

"Awe, you made them glow!"

"I am not glowing!"

"You are," I giggled, causing them to glow brighter. "Still not used to compliments?"

"...No..."

"Does that mean you still glow whenever Cass flirts with you?" Daniela giggled as the door opened.

"It does," Cassandra answered before Isa could open their mouth, earning a whine from the godling.

"You're all bullies."

"I know, I'm so mean to you," Cassandra laughed. "Your son wants a sibling, by the way."

"One child is enough," Isa grumbled. "I'm not going through that again."

"Awe," Daniela pouted. "I'm sure there's a way to adopt-."

"But making the child immortal would be a challenge. Costin isn't even an immortal yet — he won't be until he reaches his teens. But... I can think about it."

We nodded and I swapped places with Cassandra, walking over to Daniela to examine the rings closer. 'They're all pretty, but I'm glad she went with this one.' After Daniela put the rings back, she slipped her arm around my waist, guiding me out of the room. I shut the door after we left, running my thumb over the engagement ring.

Daniela suggested going to the kitchen — to bake — and I agreed, letting her guide me there. Once inside, I pulled away from her and began grabbing ingredients, ignoring the feeling of her eyes on me. I jumped slightly when I felt her hands on my waist a moment later, leaning against her when her hand slid across my body, hugging me from behind. She kissed my cheek with a giggle, gently squeezing my waist.

"Did I scare you?"

I nodded with a pout, earning a quick kiss from her.

"I'm sorry," Daniela pouted before grabbing some icing. "Let's make cupcakes together — I promise I won't make a mess."

"If you make a mess," I hummed as she gathered icing on her finger. "You're cleaning it up."

Daniela swiped the icing across my lip with a grin. "Oops. Made a mess."

"You should clean it," I traced onto her arm.

Daniela giggled and turned me around, licking off the icing before kissing me. I wrapped my arms around her neck as she pressed my body closer to hers, slowly breaking the kiss a moment later. She guided her finger to my lips, silently asking me to clean the rest of the icing off for her.

I locked eyes with her as my lips wrapped around her finger, slowly licking and sucking her finger clean. Her pupils dilated as I did so, her breathing shaky until I released her finger. I giggled at her shocked face, pecking her lips before turning around and getting started on the cupcakes.

"Fuck, that was hot," Daniela breathed after a moment.

I glanced back at her with a smile. "You wanted me to clean your mess, right?"

"Yeah... This was supposed to be a way to fluster you."

"How does it feel to have it backfire?"

"Honestly?" She purred and kissed next to my ear, letting her voice drop. "It gave me an idea for my birthday."

"Oh?"

"Don't worry about it just yet."

I let out a pleased hum when she pressed into me, her hands trailing to mine. "Okay, I'll leave it to you then."

"In the meantime, let's make some cupcakes."
