"Just wanted to talk about the ladies and their favorite sweets," I signed back with a warm smile. "I'd like to make them all their favorite sweets at some point."

"Oh! In that case, let's discuss."

After discussing the favorite sweets of the ladies — and writing them down — I said goodnight to Isa and left their room, taking a mental note of how secretive they had been about lady Cassandra's favorites. I quietly made my way to my room, setting the notepad on my dresser before going to my bathroom. After a quick bath and getting changed, I climbed into bed and fell asleep almost immediately for the first time in eight years.

"You're disgusting," My brother hissed before shoving me against the wall. "It's unnatural! What about the bloodline?!"

"She can't speak," My mother huffed with a roll of her eyes. "No one would date her anyway — no matter what gender she's attracted to. Your father's already planning an arranged marriage for her because of this. Do you see what you're putting us through? I can't wait to get rid of you."

"This is our daughter, [Y/N]... She's mute, but she knows how to cook and clean," My father's voice sounded out as a man and his son stood before me. "She'd make an excellent wife for your son."

"I'm not letting that be a possibility for my grandchildren. No deal," The man spat, venom dripping with every word. "No one wants a mute girlfriend, let alone a mute wife and mother of his kids."

"You're ruining this family! Speak!" My mother growled as she grabbed my shirt collar. "Speak!"

"[Y/N]?" A distorted voice cut through the scene and pulled my gaze from my mother. "[Y/N], wake up!"

"Look at me! Look at me and speak for once!"

I woke with a start — sitting up quickly as tears streamed down my cheeks. There was a hand placed on my back and I jumped, shuffling away from the touch until I reached the edge of the bed. My eyes landed on a concerned Isa and I finally pieced together that it was their voice that cut through the nightmare, making me draw my eyebrows together in confusion.

'How did they...? That's never happened before even if someone woke me up... How did they get into my dream?'

"Easy," They whispered as they slowly lifted their hands to show they meant no harm. "I tried waking you on time, but I guess that nightmare was a serious one... Wanna talk about it? The ladies just finished breakfast, so we're able to eat breakfast in the dining hall if you don't want the others to see you right now."

I nodded slowly and let them help me out of bed, trying to calm my trembling as they grabbed some random clothes for me. When I realized it wasn't the normal uniform, I tilted my head in curiosity as they handed the clothes to me. They simply smiled before leaving my room, giving me the chance to change in private. After I changed, I slowly left my room and noticed them waiting for me.
