Karl and Sapnap had been dating for 4 years now. Sapnap had met Karl's parents and they absolutely loved Sapnap. They would frequently go on dinners and hang out, they were quite close. And of course since they were dating so long Sapnap wanted to propose. He asked Karl's  parents for their blessing earlier and of course they gave it. But he had no idea how to. He wanted to do something that Karl has always wanted to do. Sapnap knew there was something Karl wanted to do but he didn't want to do it at all. Not to get me wrong he loved Karl to death but what Karl wanted to do was just a death sentence. He wanted to go to Texas and meet his parents. Sapnap's parents were never supportive of him and he knew that if he brung his sweet, caring,nice Karl to his rude, unsupportive parents he knew it would not go good. But Texas was a beautiful place and had multiple flower fields in which Karl loved. Maybe they changed in these 4 years? Hopefully because when he proposes he wants them to be there. Sapnap had already had plans. He wanted to ride horses one day, go to the NASA museum the next day, and go to dinner then go a flower field at sunset. 

Karl was sitting down on the couch on his phone while Sapnap was in the kitchen booking their flight. Once he finished booking everything he plopped down next to Karl. "Hey darling." Sapnap said wrapping his arm around his shoulders."Hey what's up?" Karl responded. "Okay so what is something you always wanted to do?" Sapnap said smiling. Karl sat there thinking, "Uh bungee jump without being scared." Karl said. Sapnap chuckled, "Okay something else". Karl thought some more he didn't have any idea. "Okay I give up what is it." Karl said giggling. Sapnap pulled out his phone, "We are going to Texas baby!" Sapnap said showing him the tickets he booked. Karl's face lifted and smiled greatly, "Wait really I can meet your parents?" Karl said. "Yeah and hopefully it will go good. But we go tomorrow so go and pack." Sapnap said. "I'm sure you they'll love me." Karl said joking. Sapnap smiled. He really did hope that they did. 

Once they got off their plane they were in Houston. Sapnap was greeted by his mom waving. "Hey Nick good to see you come visit!" His mom said with an undertone that was snarky. Sapnap and Karl were holding hands and the other hand holding their suitcase and you could see Sapnap's mom staring right at the gay couple. "Oh yeah we are looking forward to this week." Sapnap said putting on a fake smile and squeezing Karl's hand. "Who is this?" His mom asked. "Remember this is Karl my boyfriend for 4 years." Sapnap said trying not to roll his eyes. "It's nice to meet you Mrs. Armstrong!" Karl said holding out a hand and smiling. "Oh I'm a hugger." His mom said while she hugged Karl, breaking their hands. Sapnap was shocked maybe his mom liked Karl as a person but not the fact he was his boyfriend. Or maybe she doesn't like him for being gay. "Alright then let's go home." She said after breaking the hug. 

Once they were in the car Karl was amazed. He saw so much open field and when he got into town there was so much cowboy hats and things. Everyone seemed so close and country. Karl was excited to go have fun. 

Once they made it at Sapnap's house it had a lot of field space and a house at the top. Once they made it inside the house had wood floors, big windows, and family photos everywhere. "Uh Sapnap you can have your old room and Karl you can have the guest room if you want." His mom said as they looked around. "Uh mom we can just stay in my room." Sapnap said correcting her. "Oh uh my bad Nick." His mom said looking at the two sceptically. They went down the hall and made it to Sapnap's room and placed their things down and say on the bed. "Ugh she gets on my nerves. I mean giving us different rooms for what reason?" Sapnap said complaining. "Maybe she thought we were going to do something sceptical. And she's your mom you don't need to hate her." Karl said rubbing his back. "Karl your 24 and I'm 22 there is no reason she should be trying to control what we do. I don't hate her I just am annoyed." Sapnap said. Karl rubbed his back still and placed a kiss on his forehead. Sapnap calmed down he wanted to have this trip go good and not ruin his ultimate proposal. "Okay sorry I don't want this to ruin our trip." Sapnap said then looking at his phone for the time. "Actually it is time to do the first thing I have planned now." Sapnap said smiling and grabbing Karl's hand and dragging him outside. Karl smiled as he was excited.
