Doing the Wrong Thing.

A/n: Uhh okay I just want to start of and say this is a copy from a show I watched but I liked the idea so sorry its not too original! 

TW: mention of smut, mention of homophobia?

Karl and Sapnap worked at a firehouse. Firehouses are supposed to be the place where you form a family. And that is was. They were so close to their co-workers and they basically told each other everything. Karl had came out as gay and their friends had gave him full support. But Sapnap was new to the station. He had just graduated from academy, and his attendant was really mean. They don't really tell you in academy how close and cool it is to work with people. So when Sapnap joined the firehouse he expected a workplace environment, but he was quickly mistaken. He saw how close his co works were and how it was like a big family. 

But if we take it back a little, Karl and Sapnap knew each other before Sapnap joined the firehouse. They had met in a bar drunk and already had slept with each other 3 times. But there was a major problem. Sapnap didn't tell him that he was training to be a firefighter but he knew Karl was one. He thought, what were the chances he gets zoned to the same one as Karl? Well he was wrong. It was now really awkward between them, because they really didn't take their relationship any further than sleeping with each other.But this wasn't the problem. Sapnap was working in the kitchen,because it was his turn to cook, and his girlfriend visited him. Yes his girlfriend. But Sapnap had told Karl that he was completely gay and didn't like girls at all. 

So now here we were in the kitchen with Sapnaps girlfriend and everyone else in the station. "Hey babe! I just wanted to bring you guys some cookies." Sapnap's girlfriend, Clara said placing a kiss on Sapnap's cheek." Oh um, Clara." Sapnap said moving her away from his body. "Yeah thanks Sapnap's girlfriend? Sorry he just didn't tell us he had a girlfriend." Liam, their co-worker said. "Yeah you didn't" Karl said angrily. Sapnap did a half smile with his lips together, "Oh well this is Clara my girlfriend." Sapnap said. The whole crew greeted and said hello to Clara and she said hey back. "Well nice meeting you all! I'll see you later babe." Clara said placing another kiss on Sapnap's cheek then leaving. Sapnap looked up at Karl, Karl just rolled his eyes and left. Sapnap sighed and ran after him. They were in the bunker room. "Karl I can explain-" Sapnap started."I thought you didn't like girls Sapnap." Karl said trying to calm his anger. "I don't" Sapnap said grabbing Karl's hand. Karl let go, "So you are playing with that sweet girls heart?  She looks like she genuinely cares about you Sap." Karl said looking a Sapnap."I know. She is very nice and thoughtful. But it's not that easy to come out Karl." Sapnap said. "I know Sapnap trust me. My dad barely talks to me since I have came out. But I never went out and dated a girl to make him happy!" Karl said almost yelling. Sapnap stayed silent, "Look I'm not even doing this for me I'm doing it for that sweet girl who I think really loves you." Karl said walking away. 

Sapnap took a thought. His dad was from Texas and always influenced him to get a girlfriend in school just to look cool. He always did have a girlfriend just to make his dad happy. And then when his dad got a job offering in Florida he moved there with him. Sapnap still adoreded his dad and thought he was a good role model.So he always took after him and continued to try to make him happy, even though he his an adult. So Sapnap got himself a girlfriend and he introduced her to his family. His family had already loved her and he was glad. But when he met Karl it was so much different. He had the greatest time of his life when he was with Karl, not anything a girl had gave him. Clara was nice but they never took anything as far as kissing. And now Sapnap had to break this girls heart. But he knew it was for the right thing, he wanted to be with Karl not any girl.Sapnap took out his phone and texted Clara to say he wanted to meet up with her after his shift.   

It was after his shift and he was at a nice park with his girlfriend Clara sitting at a table. "Hey babe why did you want me here?" Clara asked smiling. "Um yeah about that. Clara you are a sweet,kind, caring person and I'm so glad I met you. But I'm afraid you're not the one for me." Sapnap said trying to break up with his girlfriend as sweet as possible. "What do you mean?" Clara asked. "I like someone else Clara, I'm so sorry." Sapnap said. "Your leaving me for some other girl?" Clara scoffed and rolled her eyes. "No I promise, I- I uh like a guy Clara. I hope we can still be friends." Sapnap said with his head down. Clara looked shocked but felt bad. She met Sapnap's dad and knew he was sort of tough on him. "Oh well, I'm sorry for yelling at you Sapnap. I hope we can be friends too." She said putting a smile on her face. "Thank you your amazing." Sapnap said smiling. They actually talked for a while and Sapnap told her about Karl and how much he liked him. Clara was sort of sad they broke up but at least it wasn't for another girl. "Thanks for talking with me Clara but my shift is about to start." Sapnap said looking at his phone. She nodded and they both stood up and gave each other a hug.

When Sapnap made it to the station he saw Karl cleaning the trucks. Sapnap tapped him on his shoulder, "Karl can we talk for a minute?" Sapnap asked. Karl rolled his eyes but nodded and they went up stairs to the bunker room. "What do you want Sap-" He was interrupted by Sapnap's lips being on his. Karl actually kissed back for a while to the point where they were making out. "Mmm what about Clara? You have a girlfriend Sap." Karl said breaking the kiss. "I actually broke up with her right before this and she was pretty cool with it i think." Sapnap said placing his hands on Karl's waist. "And your dad?" Karl said. "We have to work on that one. But Karl I really like you. And I want us to be more than some flig a couple times." Sapnap said rubbing his thumb on Karl's waist. "I really like you too Sapnap." Karl said smiling. They joint their lips together once more and kissed until the alarm went off telling them they had to go. They both smiled and ran down the stairs.
