Broken, but at least I have you.

"Babe come on!" Sapnap yelled at the bottom of the stairs. The couple were heading to a birthday party and they were already 5 minutes late. Karl was upstairs figuring out what to wear, afterall he had the best style. Karl was finally ready and all he had to do was put his socks on but he could do that later. "Okay I'm ready!" Karl said at the top of the stairs. But for some reason he was determined to put his socks on, so while he was going down the stairs he was hoping on one foot do put them on. He put one on but when it was time to put the other on his socks slipped on the hardwood floor. Karl slipped and hit his back on the steps, not to mention his foot was twisted ways that ankles don't go. Karl didn't scream but he did have some tears in his eyes. "KARL!" Sapnap yelled after his lover. Sapnap ran over to him and looked at him. Karl was anemic and just passed out. Sapnap panicked and called an ambulance to their house. The ambulance got there and the paramedics said he was breathing and was okay but most likely needed surgery. Sapnap had tears in his eyes looking at his lover passed out, but glad he wasn't in pain sleeping.

They made it to the hospital and the doctors brought Karl in. The doctors took him in the ER and gave him some drug to wake him up and another to kill the pain when he wakes up. Karl slowly opened his eyes. "Oh thank god." Sapnap said by Karl's bed holding his hand. "What happened?" Karl said rubbing his hand. "You had a really bad fall my love." Sapnap explained. "Let's bring you to a room." The doctor said. The doctors pushed his bed to a private room that is less public and Sapnap held his hand and followed.

They were now in their own room and Sapnap was beside his lover. Karl was just looking up at the ceiling,"I'm sorry." Karl said still looking up. "Why? You have no reason to be sorry." Sapnap said rubbing his thumb on his lover hands. "Well If I wasn't late and in a rush then I wouldn't have slipped. And now we missed our friends birthday party.And instead of having fun you are stuck here with me in a hospital room." Karl said wiping a tear that formed in his eye. Sapnap sat there in awe. He didn't care about some party when his lover needs a surgery. Sapnap sort of blamed himself as well. Maybe he shouldn't have rushed Karl out the house. Sapnap made it to himself not to blame anyone in a situation like this. "My love it's not your fault. I don't care about some party when you are like this. The good thing is that you will be okay. Okay?" Sapnap said. Karl looked at him and did a fade smile. Sapnap smiled back and Karl patted the bed beside him. Sapnap climbed in the bed beside him and gave him a kiss on the forehead. A doctor walked in later and told Karl that he would need a simple surgery in the ankle and then he can go home 2 days later on crutches. The doctor left while Karl and Sapnap nodded. "Babe I'm a little scared." Karl said placing his head on Sapnap's chest. "I know it's a little scary but its simple and you'll be fine. I'll be there as soon as you wake up." Sapnap said placing a kiss on his forehead. Karl nodded and sighed. Karl could barely move his leg but at least he was broken with his lover.
