That Cafe

Karl was working in a cafe. But not for his own wanting. Most people want a job for the money but Karl was being punished. He would steal his parents credit card and buy drugs,spray paint  to vandalize things, and just random stuff he didn't need. Also he was just rude, impatient and selfish to people. His parents didn't want him to be an juvenal and they wanted him to be on the right track. So they did something simple, the made him get a job in a small local cafe to build his social skills and make up the money he spent out out of their pocket. But Karl hated this job he had to consistently make small talk or had to come back and forth asking what they want when they couldn't decide. And like I said before he wasn't patient or nice. The owner knew Karl's parents. The owner, Tony, was told by Karl's parents that they were struggling to control him so he decided to help Karl. But not firing him was hard. He would yell at customers for taking to long, spill his drinks, and still be surprised that he didn't get a tip. Tony knew Karl's parents needed him to improve but it was hard to not yell at him, but try to make constructive criticism. And he knew that Karl didn't try so it was hard for him to. 

So here Karl was working in a space he didn't want to be in everyday after school. He was at the front desk seating people. When a group of people came up to him. Once blond and a brown hair guy who couldn't get their hands off each other. But there was someone else he had hazel sort of hair with pretty green eyes. Karl was already fangirling over this dude. "uh hi. Do you want a table?" Karl said in his normal dry tone. "Yeah table for 3." The blond said. Karl nodded and showed them to the table. "Do you know what you want to drink?" Karl said pulling his notepad. "Uhhh I don't know can you come back later?" The blond said. Karl put on a half smile, but the hazel hair guy looked at him. They locked eyes for a couple seconds and Karl walked away with a huge smile. He went back behind the counter, "Oh what has you smiling?" Tony asked. "Nothing." Karl said quickly. "Mhm how about you go wait on their table then? I'll take front desk." Tony said smiling looking at the table over there. Karl nodded. 

Meanwhile the group was at their own table. "Well he wasn't that nice was he?" the blond, Dream said. "Yeah he just looked like he didn't want to be here. He could have at least pretended." the brunette, George said. "I don't know guys. I mean would you want to be here everyday after school serving other people? Or maybe he just had a bad day or something? Don't judge him so quickly." the hazel haired, Sapnap said. "Why are you defending him so much? Ooo do you like him?" Dream teased. "No! I'm just saying that we shouldn't judge people so quickly based on the 2 words they said to us." Sapnap defended. But Sapnap did think he was quite cute, rather than the fact he was kinda scary since he had an vape and tattoo wrapped around his arm. I mean he looked and sounded his age so maybe he had a chance. 

Karl came back to their table, "Hey so you guys figure out what you want?" he asked. "Uh we will all just takes some water." Dream said. Karl did another half smile and went to the back angrily. "Woah, woah what's wrong?" Tony asked. "They took so long just to order a fucking water!" Karl said slamming the notepad down trying to calm down. Tony walked over and picked up his notepad and held it in his hand. Karl did have a little bit of a quick temper and got mad over little things. "Karl calm down and try again. It's not like they are going to be here forever. You will have difficult customers and you need to learn how to deal with it." Tony said grabbing Karl's hand and placing the notepad in it. Karl hated the job but he always liked how Tony would calm him down. 

Meanwhile at the groups table they were talking. "I'm serious, that dude as a serious attitude problem." Dream said. "Calm down my love remember what Sapnap said? He might just be having a bad day." George said. Sapnap rolled his eyes but he did wish he had what they had. But he did watch as Karl walked away and from their table. "Dude your like totally crushing on him. You're practically glaring at his ass." Dream said. Sapnap kicked him under the table. "I'm totally not!" Sapnap said. "You totally are." George said. "Ok even if I was I probably have no chance with him. I mean look at him and look at me." Sapnap said sadly. "Sapnap you're literally the person everyone fangirls at school. I can't wait for them to find out you're gay." Dream joked. Sapnap smiled and decided he would try to get his number.

"Okay I am back with your waters. What would you like to order?" Karl asked bringing back the drinks. Dream and George looked at Sapnap so he can answer to his new lover boy. "Uh we will just take salads all around. Weird question but how old are you? Uh maybe we can hang out?" Sapnap asked boldly. Karl was shocked that someone right then and there would ask him out like this. He was speechless. "Uh never mind that was inappropriate-""No I would love too. Oh and by the way I'm 16" Karl said. Sapnap smiled at the fact he was his age and that he had a hot bad boy date. Karl smiled and left to the kitchen and started jumping around. "Woah you were just angry what has you jumping and smiling now." Tony said. "One of the dudes just asked me out!" Karl said smiling. "Oh the guys you were just about to punch over water?" Tony teased. "Oh shut up." Karl said. But he was really excited for the future ahead.
