The forth dress I tried on and i didn't walk out again. Why was I so afraid of his reaction? It's not like he belittled me or anything in the past for me to feel this way. I'm freaking marrying him.
"Baby, can I see this one"? He asked from behind the door.
"If she's ready she'll show you". Demetrius spoke softly.
"Baby"? Colson asked again.
"I don't know". I groaned and pulled at the padded area of the boobs.
"Let me go get another one". I heard Demetrius whisper.
I sat down on the carpeted floor and sighed. This was hopeless. I want to find a dress that I can confidently walk out and show him, but I'm always looking for the dress that brings a tear to my eye. When I was finding a dress with Dylan, I picked the first one off the rack at some small boutique downtown. I never had an actual designer find a dress for me.
A knock made me look up and when Colson walked in he smiled.
"That's ones beautiful". He said and shut the door.
"No its not. It's not me". I said.
He reached down to help me stand up and turned me to the mirror.
"And what makes it not you"? He asked.
"Its flat, and silk". I groaned.
"What kind of dress do you want"? He whispered.
What did I want? My dream was to always have a fairytale wedding, with the big puffy dress and my hair curled up into a cute updo.
"I want to feel like a princess". I whispered. "I know, it sounds childish".
Colson chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"You're already a princess. Make it a reality then and do it, do you see who you're marrying? Im the child of all childish things". He said and Demetrius knocked on the door.
"I think I found the one. Colson, step out".
Colson kissed my bare shoulder and walked out as Demetrius traded spots. This dress was beautiful. It was puffy and looked like an actual princess dress. I felt the material and fell in love instantly.
"I'll help you try it on". Demetrius smiled.
I unzipped the dress I had on and and shimmied out of it. I held onto the door as I slipped my legs in and he pulled it up.
"Oh my. I don't think I'll have to do measurements. This fits perfectly". Demetrius smiled and turned me around.
I gasped.
"I'll give you a moment". He smiled and walked out.
I kept my gaze on myself, smiling as I gave a little twirl. My mind wondering back to when I was a little girl, wanting nothing more then to be in love, have a wedding and a family. My eyes started to tear up now, letting me know that my memories and goals were all coming true and I had Colson to thank for that. He is showing me that I'm able to love someone and to love myself.
I felt the tears come harder now as I turned to the door.
"C-Colson". I sobbed.
I heard his boots walk over to the door and I grabbed the handle. I went to open it but he stopped me.
"If its the one, I can wait to see it". He whispered.
I smiled to myself as I opened it a crack to grab his hand. The tattoos visible now as I kissed his hand.
"I did find it". I whispered.
"Good. I'll be out front when you're done". He said and I shut the door.
I slipped the dress off and hung it back up, slipping my other dress back on and my converse. When I walked out I seen Demetrius and nodded as he gave me a smile.
"I'll ring you up". He smiled and I followed him to the front.
I walked up by Colson and he followed me to the register with a pink tiara in his hands.
"Do you think Casey would like this"? He asked and put it on his head.
I giggled and turned to Demetrius who handed me a receipt.
"I didn't pay yet". I said and he smiled, turing to Colson.
"What's good to eat around here"? Colson asked as he grabbed my wallet and put it in his jean jacket pocket.
"Colson Baker, take your money back. You can't buy my wedding dress". I groaned.
"Oh yeah, so I fell and my card accidentally slipped into the card reader and paid for it. It was an accident I swear". He smirked and walked off.
I turned to Demetrius as he shrugged his shoulders. I rolled my eyes and followed Colson outside to the car.
"Why did you buy it"? I asked.
He opened my car door for me as paparazzi walked over.
"Let's fight about it in the car princess". He smiled again and I got in.
Once he got inside he grabbed my hand and pulled out from the parking spot.
"Well"? I asked.
"I'm thinking steak". He said, changing the subject.
"Colson Baker". I sternly spoke again.
"Luna Baker, oh I like that". He chuckled and I hit his arm.
"Who cares if I bought your dress"? He asked and I rolled my eyes.
"I do. I hate when you buy things for me. I don't want people to believe what they already say about me". I said.
"Fuck them. I bought it because I heard how you felt about it. I heard the cry Luna, if it's that special then I wanna be the one to make it happen. I love you and I'm not gonna take the attitude from it". He said and kissed my hand.
He pulled into some fancy restaurant parking lot and pulled over into the valet parking. He got out quickly and someone opened my door
I got out and he was waiting by his side, his hand out for me. I grabbed it as we walked in.
"Hi, reservation for Buster Himen". He smiled.
I rolled my eyes again. Why can't he ever pick a decent fake name.
"Right this way Mr. Himen". The lady giggled.
I bumped into him as he walked us back to the table that was in the back. I smiled when i seen a bouquet of roses sitting there.
He slid in the booth and patted the spot next to him. I slid in and he put his arm over my shoulder.
"Anything to drink sir"? Some guy asked
"Two martinis". He smiled and pulled me closer to him.
The waitor walked off and he turned to me.
"Thank you for letting me come with you". He whispered.
"Thank you for buying my dress but please, next time don't. I can buy my own stuff". I said.
Our drinks came back to the table and he took a sip of his.
"Yeah, try to stop me princess". He smirked and bit the olive off the toothpick.
He could be much at times but God do I love him.
