chapter 32

I sat with Rook and Brandon as they finished their joint. We waited for Colson to get home from the studio and it's been over an hour since he said he was coming.

"Will you stop shaking your leg"? Brandon said as I gave him a glare.

"Where is he"? I questioned amd Rook shrugged.

"Sophie and Justin are waiting for him outside still. He said he was coming".

I rolled my eyes and sat up. I walked over to the kitchen to grab my phone and called him. When he didn't answer I facetimed him. He answered in seconds.

"Where are you"? I asked and laughed.

"I made a pit stop. I'm about to turn in". He said.

"Where did you go"? I asked and he gave me a playful glare.

"Lose the face, you'll get wrinkles". He said and kissed the phone screen, hanging up.

"The wedding is in two day. He can't be playing around right now". I groaned as Sophie and Justin walked in.

"He's here". Sophie smiled and sat down next to Rook.

I walked over to the front door as he walked in and smiled. He grabbed my hand and moved me to the side.

"Colson". I groaned and he held his hand up.

"Wait". He said and ran back outside.

A few minutes later he walked back in with a big box.

"What the hell is that"? I asked and he chuckled.

"Since the wedding is in two days I got you a gift, yes you can keep it". He said and handed me an envelope. "Dont open it yet". He smirked.

I waited for the okay and Colson stood behind me. "Now I can't return this, it would be hard to". He smiled and pushed me closer to the box. Struggling a bit when he did so.

I sighed and opened the top and looked down. I didn't see anything other then the foam packing peanuts in the box.

"Look inside of it dummy". He said and  i glared.

I moved some of the peanuts and gasped when the box moved. Sooner or later Casey popped out and smiled.

"Surprise"! She yelled.

I gasped and pulled her into a hug. Holy shit did she look older.

"Casey"! I cried and pulled her tighter.

Colson helped her out of the box and she dusted the peanuts off of her.

"For part two of your wedding gift this is from me and my mom". She smiled.

I looked down at the envelope and smiled, opening it quickly. I pulled the stack of papers out and read over them.

"As of November 13th, 2022 Luna Rose Hart (nomination of guardians Colson Baker & Emma) Ms. Hart will have partial custody as step mother of Casey Colson Baker as of November 13th 2022 . Casey's mother Emma and father, Colson will sign the paperwork below for partial custody, in agreement with the United States.

Both signed the paper.           

I turned to Colson and then to Casey. Just then Emma walked in with roses. She had tears in her eyes as she walked over to me and pulled me into a hug.

"Surprise". She smiled.

"Are these papers real"? I sobbed.

She pulled away and nodded. She turned to Colson as he put his arm over her shoulder.

"Emma wanted to make you apart of the family, Casey is officially your step daughter the day after the wedding". He smiled.

I wiped my eyes and held the papers to my chest.

"I don't know what to say". I said and Casey walked over to me.

"Say yes". Casey smiled.

I giggled and gave her a hug as she had tears in her eyes

"Absolutely". I laughed and Colson pulled me into a hug.

"Luna, I'm looking at this as a way to teach Casey that no matter what happens in life, forgiveness and gratitude are important. Colson teaches her this and I want us to be on a team". Emma smiled.

I nodded and hugged the papers again.

"Since Casey is 12, I want her to be able to spend more time with you and Colson so the next page are days that I get her and days you guys get her. Apart of Colson and I having our own custody papers were throwing them out and keeping these".

I smiled as Casey hugged me again.

"This is the best wedding gift". I giggled and Colson pulled me into him.

"After everything you guys went though I wanna make sure you still have happiness within you".

I nodded. "Thank you". I smiled.

"Does this mean I can paint my room any color I want"? Casey asked.

I turned to Colson as he shrugged. "Depends, what color"? He asked.

Casey turned to me and smiled. "I want Luna to pick with me. Can we"? She asked.

I nodded. "Absolutely". I smiled and turned to Colson.

Emma walked off with Casey into the living room and I wrapped my arms around Colson.

"You do know you're stuck with me now". He whispered.

"Can't I just have Casey"? I giggled.

He squeezed my hips and pulled me to him. "You can have her and the next one and the one after that". He smirked and gave me a kiss.

"Deal". I whispered.
