Once my office was set up I grabbed the lights off the desk. Some of the guys here let me use their stuff for the shoot. I told Josh I had a change in plans with my cover and all he told was to fix it by Monday. So now I sit in my office after hours on a Friday night waiting for Colson. I set the lights up and walked over to my laptop.
"Here"! I heard Colson yell from the front.
He walked back and set the building key on the table.
"Great. Go change". I sighed and grabbed my new lenses.
Colson had a box in his hands, setting it down on my desk and then walked out of the office to grab three outfits from his things.
"Box is for you". He smirked and walked over to the corner to change.
I opened the box and then looked at him.
"What's this"? I asked.
"I remember how much you needed a new camera so I bought it for you. Think of it as a I'm sorry gift for you losing vanilla Emmett".
I picked up the new Canon EOS 6D camera, smiling to myself. He definitely didn't need to get me this.
"Thank you". I smiled.
He pulled his pants up and took off his hoodie to change shirts. He was wearing nothing hut jeans and some sort of chain around his neck. We both gave questionable looks.
"It was in the bag. Amara packed it". He chuckled.
I faced the backdrop as I changed the color to a a matte gray and added one other light in. With this camera I was able to change it with my laptop and it would show up on the photo.
Colson walked ahead of me and sat on the pink fuzzy chair, putting his hands on his knees.
"Okay Mr. Baker. This is just a normal photoshoot. Just be you". I said and checked the status of the camera.
Colson was centered in my lense as he sat back. I flashed the picture then changed the angle and took another one.
Colson walked over to stand in front of the camera and then turned to face me. His eyes were soft as he attempted to put the chain item around him. Did I let him struggle with it? yes.
"How is this considered an outfit. All she told me was this doesn't need a shirt". He said and turned around.
I see now why it didn't need a shirt under it, it was meant to show off his gorgeous back and tattoos. I backed away before I could give in and walked to the laptop.
"Okay, stay like that, bring your arms up to hug yourself". I said.
The chains were loud as he moved his arms and when he hugged himself I had the perfect picture. I stood behind him and fixed a few pieces of hair and his bracelet, then I snapped the photo.
"Okay. Let me fix this one and you can go and change to outfit number two please". I said, keeping my head down as I walked back.
He got away from the back drop, taking off the chains and walked over to me, putting his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.
"Cmon. I have deadlines". I whispered and he continued the sweet actions.
"But I wanna do this". He whispered back.
I moved my neck to the side so he had better control on my skin. I giggled when he nipped at my skin and made a hickey. I'm trying to be the 'friends' we agreed to be. So far we've made out to the point where sex was almost a thing. I guess I'm fine with that as long as we don't have it. It's not that I don't want to. I'm nervous and don't even ask why because I couldn't tell you that.
"I'll be back". He spoke and walked off to his clothes bag.
I set up the next shot and decided to use the yellow backdrop for this one because I wanted to keep the colors simple and solid. I wanted to show a different angle with my magazine, it won't have the flashy photos. I want them to be real. As real as they can be.
Colson walked over to me wearing some sort of tan shirt, making him match the backdrop with the aesthetic color behind him. I smiled as he sat down and looked around the room. I wonder if he caught onto my behavior just a while ago? If it wasn't the breakup getting in the way then things would go back to normal but normal to me is just kissing.
I glanced over to the sad looking angel sitting in the chair and shrugged. Why did he look so upset? Was it something I did?
I picked up my camera and took the last photo of the night, he was clearly over it. I snapped it and he quickly looked at me.
"Sorry, I wasn't ready". He whispered and sat up straight.
I set the camera down and walked over to him. He looked up at me an I gave him a smile. When I sat on his lap, bringing my arms over his shoulder he seemed taken back.
"Why do you look sad"? I asked.
"I don't know. Just got in a mood. I'm sorry, I'm better now". He said and I shook my head.
"No you're not. If we're going to make this work you need to talk to me".
He looked away. "I've been getting these mood swings lately. I don't know why". He mumbled. "I don't have the answer".
I lifted his chin up to look at me. His blue eyes turned red as they watered. He was hurting and I didn't know how to help him. Alot has happened in the past few weeks and I completely understood that. I gave him a small smile and rested my lips on his. We didn't go further, we didn't make a big deal.
"I miss you". He whispered once we pulled away.
"I miss us". I said.
Being with Colson was hard. I wanted things to just go back to normal but we were never normal.
"I just don't want to get hurt again". I whispered and he gave me a small nod.
"I promise you that I'm never going to do that again". He said.
I let our lips touch again. We had demons on both sides but letting the devil control us wasn't a plan. We had the same mindset on what we wanted and if we move in this direction, then there's nothing to worry about.
